Great list. Really liked the final fork but was gobsmacked by its price! Think I’ll give it a miss

Have yall ever heard of the fisher space pen?

  5. Alex Thomson on April 16, 2022 at 6:04 pm

No one ever mentions that the Lush shampoo bars are so highly scented, you can smell them in the next room even when they are dry.

  6. Beau Black on April 16, 2022 at 6:04 pm

Ive had that clothesline for over a decade—lifesaver on the road. Super-light, small, useful. Always in my bag.

I have a love/hate relationship with the collapsable "bottle". All the pros for sure, but if you are engaged in any transportation (car/bus/bike/train or even walking) with instability, or even sitting and waiting for all of the above, you can get soaked when using it. It is tricky and using one hand is not advised. Want to take a quick swig sitting or standing on the bus? Better not. lol So then do you bring a straw or a cup? Gets complicated, so in the end, I just purchase as I go. It was not worth the hassle and don’t even get me started on keeping it clean.

Nothing says "minimalist travel" like a thousand different products that mostly do gimmicky things. True minimalist travel is traveling with your basic needs and that’s it. Probably better to call this category "Tech travel".

For the Anker Power Banks vs Airlines, make sure to check the fine print on the label. While your advertised capacity might be 10,000; the actual battery capacity is slightly less than that. So if you’re 10K battery might be on the edge of the max requirement for airlines, the printed actual capacity might fit under the max better.

  15. honeycheek on April 16, 2022 at 6:17 pm

I love all of them, great video 🙂

  16. Tatti77 on April 16, 2022 at 6:17 pm

Selling the soap bar as a way to easier plane flying AND ALSO to promote environmental friendly travel? You won’t save the world with a better soap choice, but you might save it with less air travel.

  17. Quiero Cake on April 16, 2022 at 6:17 pm

What’s the brand of the blue backpack holding the cap clip?

  18. NeverMetTheGuy on April 16, 2022 at 6:21 pm

The Vapur is a decent bottle, however the Platypus bottles can take many soda bottle tops if you lose one in the field, and it’s only a top and a bottom; the Vapur bottle is a hinged proprietary top that screws into the neck of the bottle with a big flimsy hook. I’ve carried Platypus for something like seven years now, because all the Vapur bottles are too clunky (they don’t easily fit in a pocket) and they’ve all leaked. Sure, a lot could have changed, but I’m going to stick with two parts instead of four.

  20. heather Roche on April 16, 2022 at 6:21 pm

Ordered the Anker slim because of this episode, as well as the Tom Bihn travel tray. Thanks for the great suggestions!

  21. 이재훈 on April 16, 2022 at 6:22 pm

I use a freerain 32 as a carrier. I actually like having a separate packing pouch, because I can use it like a water bottle holder; I keep it closer to my reach rather than reaching for the side pocket.

  22. Christopher Heer on April 16, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Hi Pack Hacker, what’s the name of the backpack in the top left corner of the video (the blue-red-yellow one)? Love the design!!

  23. xero's vlog on April 16, 2022 at 6:29 pm

I’ve been eyeing up that travel tray for quite some time now. the rip stop nylon that tom bihn gets is amazing. I love their handy little thing pouch

  24. Vrijlansier on April 16, 2022 at 6:29 pm

That water ‘bottle’ doesn’t seem easy to clean.. 🤔

  25. heather Roche on April 16, 2022 at 6:31 pm

Okay and I just ordered the Matador daypack too

  26. Audania Taylor on April 16, 2022 at 6:32 pm

    Mosquito nets?

  28. kauaiboy5o on April 16, 2022 at 6:33 pm

I have the Peak Design as my travel backpack. I like the simple sleek design without all the stuff on the outside. I snapped the top to it to make it look smaller and for a sleeker contour rather than boxy looking. The main reason I chose this backpack was for the security features it provides when you are traveling in crowded public spaces. Unfortunately this is something none of the YouTube backpack reviewers talked about…

  29. RDP920 on April 16, 2022 at 6:33 pm

I have a prior version of the Anker 10,000 power bank Slim and LOVE it. Life changing. A must have when traveling.

  35. hmemcpy on April 16, 2022 at 6:38 pm

Who’s the idiot who called it "Travel Trays" and not Tom Bihn’s Bins

  36. Katie on April 16, 2022 at 6:39 pm

I have Lush bars, the clothesline, and a Vapur bottle and big thumbs up to all of them. I need the travel tray next!

  37. M P on April 16, 2022 at 6:40 pm

I’ve seen some people just take a small bottle of Reynards

  38. Shakeel G on April 16, 2022 at 6:41 pm

Nitecore NB10000 Power Brick all day everyday. Lightest 10k brick on the marker. USB-C in/out and USB , Can charge 2 devices at once.

  41. kasa on April 16, 2022 at 6:43 pm

Packing cubes -.- As long as it’s from decent brand it literally doesn’t matter what you buy 😀 I mean it’s good thing to recommend for some travel setup video, but definitely not as individual product.

  42. Winston Gonzalez on April 16, 2022 at 6:43 pm

Eagle creek packing cubes, and anker power banks

  43. Nth Doctor on April 16, 2022 at 6:46 pm

    No mention of the heroclip

  44. John F on April 16, 2022 at 6:50 pm

Love Tom Bihn… have picked up several items based on the recos and haven’t been disappointed. Great stuff!

  45. Liam Marcon on April 16, 2022 at 6:55 pm

Hats are hard to pack? Talk about solving a problem that doesn’t exist. I’ve never had a problem packing a cap and even if you want to hang them they literally have their own strap you can use to attach them to stuff.

  46. Nick L on April 16, 2022 at 6:55 pm

The hat clip… you mean people aren’t just using the hat’s own strap wrapped around the top handle of their backpack?

  47. Roman Natooralist on April 16, 2022 at 6:57 pm

    FinalSpork
FinalSpork = 55g,- that’s a lot for a spoon. there are many options for spoons made of titanium, where the weight is about 15-20g

  48. Theresa Crozier on April 16, 2022 at 6:57 pm

I truly adore your videos! I’m going to Iceland in October for 5 days and wondering what carry on backpack you would recommend for Icelandair. They seem to be very picky. I want to try to travel as minimalistic as possible.

  49. Denis Valeev on April 16, 2022 at 6:57 pm

    What a backpack at 6:50?

  50. Bucket List Travellers on April 16, 2022 at 6:57 pm

All of these look really handy! We have the eagle creek packing cube and we love them! The final Spork looks like just the thing we’ve been looking for!
