I have most of this not Pro-Ject accessories and I am completely Happy 🙂

Why are your speakers on the same shelf as your turntable? The vibration from the music coming from your speakers will totally cause your stylus to not track properly & then none of this stuff your showing us will matter

What a marketing rubish.. Number 8: You can install an level app for free on your smartphone..

It would be nice to have a Debut Carbon without that horrible hum. What a waste of money. Non of the hacks or fixes worked for me.

For a company that does audio, you’d think the audio in the video would be better. Clicking every 5 seconds is really annoying.

I’m going to the EVO version. But I want an acrylic plate. It will not be a problem?

Curious about the Vinyl Clean product – does the chemical mixture prevent (or minimize) skin oils from transferring to the vinyl surface?

  9. Mel on October 12, 2021 at 7:27 am

I can understand damp it under a record deck feet. Could make the speakers sound worse I think

    Would WD-40 work for lube?

    The only must haves are:
A turntable, amp, speakers and a pile of records.

I have used the record brush and see that it leaves scratches. Is that ok? Will the brush soften out after some time?

Stopped watching as soon as I saw the turntable on the same shelf as the speakers. How stupid is that?

  14. peartfaldo on October 12, 2021 at 8:01 am

    you forgot the snake oil……

  15. Daba Du on October 12, 2021 at 8:01 am

I agree to everything except the sweep it. why should i mount another loose part that makes noises and increases the resistance of the plate? i know these brooms very well and have experimented a lot. does not need it, rather invest the money in a VC-S2!

I guess the two items that really worry me are the playdough type material and the weird plinth mounted sweeper.

I do not get the sweeper at all, it seems counter of common sense – especially if you are properly using your album brush. The potential drawbacks seem to outweigh any minute benefit.

The playdough gunk may be great for getting items out of grooves, but I would be afraid it would transfer oils from your hand to the disc. I read some information on it, and it says it dissolves grease, but then also saw a review that it left a residue. Would like to see some microscope views of its usage especially on oil fingerprint marks and after it has been used awhile.

Pro-ject Essential III owner here – absolutely love it! However, that play dough (also available on amazon for cheaper) along with vinyl solution + cleaning cloth is all that is required really, especially since prices of most accessories are reaching ridiculous territory.

If it needs to be that accurate, why not a precision level??
