We used to have a large collection of pots and pans (we still do, I just put them in a box on the bottom shelf of the linen closet.) But we found this 10¾" by 2" Dutch oven like pan and we use it almost exclusively, we still need a few other things occasionally such as a medium-sized pot, a wide shallow pan, the tea kettle, the pizza stone, pie pan and a set of baking sheets. Those and our knives, cutting boards, mixing ladles, spoons, chopsticks, a paint brush, measuring bowls, and cheese grater just about cover it. Though we still do need a nice stock pot, a pasta maker, a scale, a higher-end knife sharpener, and the rolling pin.
What about an immersion blender??
Informative.
I would have to say parchment paper
That was the most entertaining and educating video in one!
ways to spend all my money
How about how to properly clean the station and kitchen (oil stain sticking on kitchen tools, etc. ) at the restaurant quality?
I came to this video to find a decent chef knife and you talked about it but I didn’t see a link… ☹️
If you like making sauces, you dont even need to be reminded the utility of a good blender.
I would love to know how few you can cope with?
Birdy
19 tools???
I only use a knife and spatula 😉
JOSH WHAT DUTCH OVEN SHOULD I GET JOSH PLS
Not a 600 dollar blender 🙁 lol
Of course ! You have this video & a cutlery buying from 2yrs TWO years ago!!
The first video of you I watched I thought you were crazy.
But now I know for a fact you are; Crazy good at making cooking videos. Thanks a lot for your effort! Keep it up
Can someone help me find an affordable stainless steel pot
Favorite strainer ??
DMING or BMING?? Are we talking about the same thing? Are you a fan of the blump-() kin??? I must know!
Which induction device do you use?
What brand are the knives. I’m after a good bread knife and kitchen scale. OXO and ozeri come up the best but too many negative reviews on the products which I think is a reflection of the seller or dodgy items and I’m based in UK
U must look like ur one night stand father or something…. Cuz secretly u think ur better than everyone… It’s cuz ur a half JEW boy !
I already have those scissors and they are good
Question: Cookware sets or buy cookware separately?
No info on da cutlery?!?!!?
Thanks homie
Knife, cutting board, immersion blender, a good pan and pot will take you very very far
So glad Josh pronounces aesthetic correctly 💋👏👏👏👏
im a broke college student and my kitchen tools are a a stainless steal pan a butcher knife a bowl and a tablespoon thats it💀
Saxabones Jones that B-Roll! Oh baby!
👍👍👍
I know this video is like two years old or pushing three, But is it possible to discuss what kind of scales and measuring utensils you use.
All great tools! But I really want that sous vide cooker. sheesh!
You didn’t link any pots 😩😒
You missed ice cream maker. New subscriber anyway. Cool vibe.
And there are YouTubers trying to charge $99 on their “seminar” learning how to do what you are showing me now. Thanks for the video….you’ve helped me declutter without spending $99!
you forgot the wok
just curious what nonstick pan you’re using when you’re holding up the cast iron next to them?
I don’t have a wirerack
I would like a link to a really good Stand mixer
Which kitchen torch do you use? 👀
I’ll argue that the Vitamix and the KitchenAid are essential the amount of time they save you and the work they put it literally make cooking possible. Sure we all have some time in our day to day (hopefully) but not everyone has copious amounts of it.
Wow, no $100 rice cooker. Imagine that. It’s like it actually only takes a pot, lid, and water like it has since the dawn of man.
You need a good knife, a cutting board, and a frying pan. Job done
I’m surprised tongs didn’t make the necessity cut. I can’t imagine cooking without tongs in my life
RICE COOKER
I see you don’t use slow cookers. Ha ha.
OMG, why has the lingo changed from PM’s to DM’s it makes me want to have a BM!
tbh I was sitting down with my frowney-face all ready to go, expecting to see a lot of appliances and non-essentials, such as most ‘kitchen essential videos’ often show… but this was a good and helpful video! Thank you for these clear tips, especially the jars and vaccum-seals. But… no wok and no rice cooker…?!
I love this video full of knowledge, good advice. Oh and the links!!!! to the kitchen gear, super killer helpful thank you josh.
SHOW ME THE KNIVES. Where do you get your KNIVES, mannnnnnnnnnn
