Those all seem like normal prices. I’d compare the radio to a TV today because how families would gather around it like a TV back then.

We bought our 3 family house built in 1922 from the original owners. It was owned by the Kaehni Brothers who had a Radiola showroom on the first floor of the house. They were electric engineers / inventors. There was even a book written about them called "Our Work Speaks for Itself".

My mother, in 1970 traded my dad’s 1962 Powder Blue Chrysler Four-door, for an entire Deluxe Kirby Vacuum Cleaner with accessories. Two salesmen came to our front door, said they saw the For- Sale Sign, offered the kit; she said, “Only one condition, you demo the shampoo features on the sofa!” …and they said, “Deal!” They got the car my dad said he never wanted to sell… She had a great vacuum till her passing in December 2017.
