Consider the preethi blenders. They have a good longlasting motor, and powerful enough to make hummus and can blend or grind dry n wet spices without having to add water.

  13. Emily Chia on February 18, 2023 at 5:05 am

I think ninja should sponsor you. Hahah. My multi function microwave is not good for steaming but okay for the rest. As for the steamboat I feel it is better to use induction stove with hotpot pot. I dun have air fryer because I feel my mirco wave grill good enough.

  14. Vanessa Lim on February 18, 2023 at 5:06 am

Every item you listed, I see myself buying for my new place. I didn’t know there are so many all-in-one appliances in the market. I assume they’ll last for years, so it would be worth the investment. a video I didn’t know I needed! thank you for this Alex!

Love your video as usual! Thank you!

  29. selinetanhh on February 18, 2023 at 5:26 am

Steamer is good to have as you can cook healthy food plus heat up. Microwave heat up tends to dry up the food but steamer really does the job well just take it takes about 10 mins instead of 3. The cons is Juz that steamer add more liquid to your food. Pressure cooker is a must as it really saves time

  30. SimpleLifeSG on February 18, 2023 at 5:27 am

I find that the microwave reheats refrigerated leftover food unevenly or makes its texture rubbery . I now use my steam oven instead – reheated leftovers come out with the “freshly cooked” texture and taste, which is so much more enjoyable to eat! I don’t remember the last time I used my microwave 🤣

  31. jB on February 18, 2023 at 5:28 am

I avoid microwave for health reasons. After watching your video, realised I don’t have a blender at home lol.

  32. Vivian Ang on February 18, 2023 at 5:29 am

    Great video as usual😍

  33. Mark on February 18, 2023 at 5:31 am

Hi Alex, you may want to stop using knife holders like the one in your video. Its a nursery for mould and bacteria to grow in our humid climate, and no way to clean the inside. Unless its just for bai-sui 😁

  34. Janix Chen on February 18, 2023 at 5:33 am

Im using tokit from xiaomi induction cooker and use it for steamboat. Super handy and useful. Blender if you intend to upgrade yours at cheaper price can check out the mayer hand blender.. MMHB109 model. It has everything in it even slicer and chopper!

  35. no name who on February 18, 2023 at 5:37 am

my microwave is older than me… as long as it heats up food, my dad not willing to buy new one lol

  36. Eng Kiat on February 18, 2023 at 5:38 am

i used to own a tiger steamboat pot and switch to the "elephant" brand after going for a steamboat at my friend’s place. it really does keep the soup base hot while not evaporate super fast and needing to top up the soup so frequently, maybe that’s why u find the cooking speed slower than other pots.

  37. Janice peh on February 18, 2023 at 5:38 am

I bought the airbot airfryer at shopee for $40. Cheap and does the job! I agree all airfryer are relatively the same just like any microwave. I love to see more of your home products!

  38. Pris T on February 18, 2023 at 5:39 am

I also have one of those multi function microwave but indeed in the end we just use it for normal microwave and heating up food. I think the reason is because the instructions for using the different functions is too complicated Or require too many steps. Another reason is also because it doesn’t have a temperature dial so can’t set certain temp for microwaving and baking.

Also what do you think of those steamboat and grill combo sets? The ones that you can use for both at the same time. We are thinking of getting but not sure if useful?

  39. sdicaprio on February 18, 2023 at 5:40 am

Best purchase in 2020 during Covid was a Thermomix 6. Pricey but really could do many things. The online recipe also offer a step by step cooking process a beginner can comfortably follow.

  40. Kyle Low on February 18, 2023 at 5:40 am

why you put the frying pans there but never mention 🙁

  41. Priya vicky on February 18, 2023 at 5:41 am

Could you recommend a water dispenser that dispenses cold and hot water?

  42. Jimmy Tay on February 18, 2023 at 5:41 am

Haha same my mom also refuse to use airfryer. she manage to switch her crockpot to pressure cooker thou. She uses pressure cooker almost everyday now to replace her soup and stew cooking. Overall good recommendation!

I’m using Sharp microwave convection oven, it quite useful as my current house didn’t come with built in oven. Beside it’s microwave function, I use it for baking also, quite useful eventhough at first I found that it can’t bake evenly like a dedicated oven, only the inner side that turn brown, the side near the door usually not too well cooked (not too brown in color), but I found a solution for that, just use the microwave tray that spins, it will make the cake bake evenly.
