Just got one. Call quality is honestly pretty great, features are decent, but most importantly of all, it plays those awesome old Java games so I’m happy XD

a good explanation as no helpful instructins in box, but I wanted to see you insert the sim card as I am having trouble with that too

That $10 would be gone in a minute.
I’ve only seen a few people who have credit balances, everyone else is unlimited data, texts and calls.

Just some useful information that wasn’t covered in the video…
-The $10 credit: I activated it this afternoon, and there were no plans to select. What you currently get is $10 credit for voice calls, sms, mms, etc and 50mb data. Usually, once the data is gone, you are charged $X per Ymb until the cash credit is gone.

-Java: As "@The Camcorder" said in the comments, the phone is j2me midp 2.0 capable (Add a shortcut to java on the phone as they mentioned). You are able to download the .jar files on a computer and copy them over to the phone via USB (Mass storage mode), which makes things a lot easier!
*Youtube: Youtube works fine using Opera browser Camcorder mentioned. Once you select a youtube video to play, it will open the phones stock video player and stream it from there. Longer (40min+) videos work, as does seeking using left and right, and full screen by pressing up.
*Gameboy Emulator 1: MeBoy wont open once installed. Both the ‘latest’ version and the older 1.6
*Gameboy Emulator 2: JMEBoy works ok, and you are even able to use the ‘search for roms’ function to play .gb and .gbc roms on the internal storage (without needing to add them to the .jar, but both methods work). This phone is only able to play games upto 256kb in size with NO SOUND, or 128kb WITH SOUND. Anything bigger results in ‘failed to load’ message. The performance is pretty rough (and slow), but definitely playable. I tested both Golf and Megaman 2, and both ran acceptably but at a low frame rate.
*NES Emulator: vNES: NES actually runs really well on this phone. In Megaman 2 I was averaging 49fps! There is no sound on this emulator for this phone which is a shame. Perfect for RPGs like Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, etc.
*Other games: I tried a heap of classics, but most wouldnt open once installed. Some of the ones that didnt work include Bounce, Asphault, Doom3, and a stack of others. Some games that work flawlessly include Doom RPG (so any of the ID game RPG engine should work like Orcs and Elves) and Magnetic Joe.

-Video Playback: It plays MP4 pretty well. I re-encoded a few videos to MP4 (unsure of exact codec, just selected mobile>MP4) and they all worked. By using a very very low bitrate at 176×144 15fps, i was able to get a full 90min movie (Spooner) down to just 64mb! (which unfortunately was still too large for the phone). Its fun to see how small you can get a movie, but the storage space is just too small to use this as a cheap video player.

-Storage: You only have around 40mb of storage available, with no option for expandable storage (micro sd for example). I decided to open up the phone and see if there was an unpopulated MicroSD pad on the PCB (spoiler: there is!). In the battery compartment, under the white IMEI sticker is some standard metal shielding to protect from RF but also a small foam pad in a cut out just above the sim slot! Carefully removing this foam pad (which has some amazing adhesive), reveals what appears to be an unpopulated MicroSD slot. It is unfortunately not suited for the common micro sd slot footprint (as seen on devices like the pi0, cheap mp3 players, all over ebay, etc), but the more uncommon and more expensive footprint reader. I carefully soldered a MicroSD slot on, popped in a fat formatted 2gb micro sd card and booted up the phone! No luck! It seems either the software firmware doesnt have sd support. Just to be sure i flipped the sd slot around and soldered it upside down. Also didnt work.

-Hardware: You can find the specs online, but there are no internal photos or disassembly guides, so ill do my best here…
*Remove the battery cover (bottom left corner [when flipped over] is a small notch. Stick your nail in here and pry it off (As others have said, its quite tough to remove). If you intend on removing the PCB from the shell entirely, you will need to remove the white IMEI sticker first.
*Remove the 6 small phillips screws (1 will probably have a small sticker [mine was orange] on it. you can carefully remove it with a fine needle or just push through it with the screwdriver)
*On the bottom side, in the middle, stick a small (plastic) spudger hard in the small indent to pop the clip off. Work your way around with the spudger, carefully popping the small hidden clips as you go.
*The whole front should now lift off (The keypad membrane is included in this top half)
*The LCD is soldered to the PCB via a flatflex ribbon cable on the bottom side of the LCD. If you want to remove the LCD, you will need to carefully lift from the TOP side of the LCD (the white plastic housing). It is only stuck down with a little glue, and mine lifted up quite easily. The flatflex ribbon is hard soldered directly to the PCB (there is no zif connector here). NOTE: You dont need to remove the LCD to remove the PCB from the shell. Also try not to touch the front of the LCD as it is a fingerprint magnet.
*The PCB is clipped into the shell. Starting from the bottom corner, use your plastic prying tool to pop one side up. Do the same on the other bottom corner. There are 2 more clips in the middle, which take a little force to remove. Finally lift and pull down slightly to remove. (The MicroUSB and headphone port can get stuck on the shell if you dont pull down slightly).
*So whats inside? Not much! Under the LCD is nothing, so avoid lifting it if you dont intend on removing it. On the back is the sim slot as well as what looks like the pads for a micro sd slot. The rest is under a metal shield which i didnt bother removing since its usually some passives and the SOC (most likely not user up-gradable flash)
