Thought those were your nails when you put on the screen protector

  2. Mikey Elefant on March 28, 2022 at 6:07 pm

loved the ״always practice safe photography" great vid, thanks

  3. Mark Terrin on March 28, 2022 at 6:07 pm

    Thanks! Very useful

  4. Harsh Bhavsar on March 28, 2022 at 6:08 pm

Hey Jason, what travel tripod do you use? Also, is there a dual camera body strap that you recommend?

  5. Wesley Ledford on March 28, 2022 at 6:11 pm

I’m a hobbyist Sony fanboy, but I no longer use third party batteries. I stopped after watching Fuslie’s video where she told her horror story. She had 4 Sony cameras completely die and was told it was because she used third party batteries.

As always, great content. Thank you !
Then, just one thought… I just can’t get it how people freak out about Paris (by the way, the pronounciation is "pa-ree", so you may blend in more for your next visit).
From a guy (me) who’s been working 3 years at the Tour Eiffel, leading tours as a guide for groups and individuals and VIPs (Depeche mode, Scottie Pippen, QOTSA, etc.) : never ever a single problem. Of course there are some, don’t misunderstand me, but all it takes is a bit of care… just as for EVERY single touristic place (nearly) anywhere in the World. If you act naively, you’ll open doors for all kinds of troubles all over the place, at any time. And not only when you’re touring some country, or your own place.
So, to the folks out there willing to come visit the City of light : relax, it’s just as anywhere… using one’s brain brings better results. Try it, you’ll see ! 😉
PS : for anyone willing to discover Paris from a different perspective, off the beaten paths, with a glance at the "basckstage" of this great city… get in touch with me. ✋😊👌

12:26 Is that a HDD? Thunderbolt would do nothing for you in that case. Unless that’s just a super chunky ssd?

  9. Kev-RaTzo on March 28, 2022 at 6:15 pm

I have two peak design straps. I will never, ever, buy from them again. I’ve got $200 worth of straps hanging on me and both of them have TAPE on them to keep the strap length adjustment system from sliding…. they won’t even hold up a mirrorless camera..

That you recomend these makes the rest of the list suspect.

  10. Troy Phillips on March 28, 2022 at 6:17 pm

Hey I want a 135mm , you still diggin the Zeiss Batis f/2.8 OSS ?
I’m building a light lens travel video/photo , live music setup.

  11. jer on March 28, 2022 at 6:19 pm

Many good tips in your list. Thank you.

    Liked for the Mulan reference.

  13. Sam Serio on March 28, 2022 at 6:22 pm

I’m finally able to upgrade my A6400 to a "legit" camera. If I’m mostly getting it for video, is it still worth spending the extra $1000 to get an a7SIII over the a7 IV?

  14. Harsh Bhavsar on March 28, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Yo Jason! What’s this Amazon Warehouse pricing that you mentioned? How do you access such deals?

  18. Melty Sundae on March 28, 2022 at 6:26 pm

Power extra third party battery last longer than sony battery on sony a7siii and a7iv

  19. Luchit.o on March 28, 2022 at 6:26 pm

Great video , I’m currently looking to purchase a laptop since my last one broke! But my main focus is on editing (Lightroom, photoshop), any recommendations. I would get a mac but im not really a fan of macs. Pls help

When he went to B roll of the screen protector I was about to comment on how nice his nails were. 😀

  21. Matt Gray on March 28, 2022 at 6:27 pm

    My strap is a S&W Shield 9mm.

  22. Maximus Prometheus on March 28, 2022 at 6:28 pm

Note to buyers: This thing overheats and has big issues when shooting in 4k 60 on top of the 1.5x crop. You’ve been warned.

  23. AdamCone on March 28, 2022 at 6:28 pm

Great video — appreciate the recommendations! One minor comment — when you’re cleaning lenses with wipes, NEVER use your finger directly behind the cleaning cloth. If by chance a piece of sand or grit gets between your finger and the lens, you’re gonna scratch it. It’s better to scrunch up the cleaning cloth and wipe the lens with it. That way if something solid gets in between, there will be much less pressure, and you’ll less likely scratch your lens! Enjoy your travels and looking forward to see more! (Oh, my latest accessory is the A74!)

  24. Marc Fairorth on March 28, 2022 at 6:29 pm

Thank you — love your work. Informative and fun to watch! Can you tell me if you were able to use the A7iv with the Crane M3? I just got both and I can not make the camera fit so that it full rotates (up/down). If you did, any tricks to making it work?

  25. visceralee on March 28, 2022 at 6:29 pm

Nice work on this. Your videos are great! Thank you so much.

  26. Hars Kumar on March 28, 2022 at 6:30 pm

Hi, great video, could you please share how did you connect phone to camera, ie which app did you use in the phone?

  27. Lucas Vũ on March 28, 2022 at 6:31 pm

Peak design strap is amazing. It does not only look good, but also feels so smooth in the hands and neck, not rough and sharp like the original strap.

I still use the default neck straps, BUT I obtained these snap off ends that allows me to snap off the ends just like that Zeiss strap, lol.

  30. Bill V on March 28, 2022 at 6:34 pm

Do you have any concerns about sticking a piece of aluminum in the multi interface hot shoe Sony now uses? With all those tiny contacts in there, I’d worry about shorting out something, or are all those contacts dead until you activate flash mode?

  31. TVM on March 28, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Hey brother what would you recommend for someone doing both photography and video in terms of a single camera and lens(es) if budget/cost was unlimited?
So far I am thinking either Sony Alpha 1 (A1), Sony A7IV, or A7SIII .
Ignore prices, I looking to buy once/cry once on most versatile camera & lens(es) setup.

  32. Harry Vue Media on March 28, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Very informative video on sony gears. A good cage for hybrid shooters would be the Smallrig Half Cage for the A7IV & A7Siii. Since i do like to protect my camera bodies, this cage have made it convenient for me to set the camera down on rough surface without worrying my camera will be scuff. Then attaching the mic or gopro into the cold shoe with ease. And even attaching a monitor mount holder onto the cage allows room for an external monitors while also attaching a handle grip.

  33. Chocktalk on March 28, 2022 at 6:39 pm

    what happened to your A1

  34. Remmerboy on March 28, 2022 at 6:39 pm

I used a peak design standard plate and attach an anchor on it, and used the Cuff or Leash V1 (its important that its the version 1) on it. Only 1 attach point and it doesn’t interfere when rotating the camera and its twice as fast when removing the Leash compared to the Slide

    You coming to NC?

  36. Builder on March 28, 2022 at 6:40 pm

LOL I hate those clunky peak design connectors!
I use the tiny strap Sony used to supply with the RX100m5 – it holds your camera to your wrist, without having those clunkers dangling off my camera 😀

  37. Hi Dave and Chloe on March 28, 2022 at 6:48 pm

I’m going strapless at the moment but that strap looks like a good idea!

  38. Kyle Aber on March 28, 2022 at 6:48 pm

    YO! JASON! …Hopefully easy question.

What is the output resolution to the Pro-I phone as a monitor from the Camera?

  39. Saint Jonah on March 28, 2022 at 6:52 pm

JV! What camera and lens did you use to shoot the main talking head shot with? Very informative and great video as usual. Be blessed ✝️

  40. Brian Egerton on March 28, 2022 at 6:53 pm

I used 3rd party on my old Canon Cameras but bought Ansmann ones for my XT3 form Amazon ( same one sold at WEX ) and after a few months they start to swell up, then after about a year they swell so much it’s so difficult to get them out of the camera you have to shake them out, not good for any camera so they go in the bin. Now I use Duracell 3rd Party ones with no issues at all.

  41. RyanREAX on March 28, 2022 at 6:53 pm

A7iii and A7iv doesn’t include a charger.. only a cable.. A7S3, A7R3 and others do as for anti dust for lenses.. lens cap

  49. Corey Edward on March 28, 2022 at 7:03 pm

Only thing I’ll disagree with is buying the Sony batteries. Batteries have become so good now a days you really don’t need to worry. I have about 16 PowerExtra batteries and they last about 90% as well as the original Sony. I can get about 1:45-50 minutes with them. Been using them for over a year now with the A7siii for weddings and commercial work and haven’t encountered any issues whatsoever. Also you get two batteries and a charger for $50 US. I highly recommend them and won’t be spending $80 on one Sony battery.
