Amazing video and even when in Cuba the Internet era is barely starting we r already seeing and suffering the negative effects of this. And this makes me wonder…why isn’t there a class or sth that teaches kids manners when using their phones? Just like the ones he mentions in the video that are wrong, like in a group meeting, on a date with ur partner, a family reunion, that kind of stuff should be taught as well as how not to let social media affect negatively ur mood or just life in general.

I think comparing cigarettes, gambling and alcohol to phones is a bit much. But I agree, I have seen heaps of people like this. The only social media network I interact with is YouTube and I’m not addicted. I just watch it when I’m board, or tired, or stressed. I think it is important not to say it’s only adolescents though. There are many people like this but are adults up to 40 – 50 years old.

I hate working with young adults they are always on their phones and never attentive and managers are not doing anything about it anymore

The real cause of our misery is this society and system we "live" in.

You are not allowed to go anywhere unless you pay for it and money is hard to get these days so we stay at home doing noting but wasting our life.

Also people are so different from each other that its extremely hard( and impossible for many) to connect with anyone.

We dont feel free going anywhere and talking to anyone because we are afraid of the aggression of other people who will most likely will not understand us.

The source of it all is overpopulation and obsession with government control of the whole society.

I literally AGREE! Like phones are SO addicted. And that is why I stop using my phone. We should bring back those FLIP phones. I wish it was like the 70s, 80s, 90s,00s and early 10s again. This is just a horrible life we are in!

  10. Ben S on March 17, 2023 at 6:14 am

I can tell you just in the last 10 years I’ve become addicted to being on my phone all the time. It started out when I got a "smart" phone the immediate gratification of picking up your phone and accessing anything you want is convenient and also dangerous. Pray for my soul.

"Nothing wrong with social media and cell phones" I think we probably scientifically prove there’s alot wrong with it and thr world would be better without that crap

The culture is ruined. Go to any gym ,
Bar , social event , you’ll see the majority of humans not interacting because of tech addiction
It’s over. Technology has won. Humans have lost. Sky net has arrived.

There was a video of a guy online years ago that at the time I thought was hilarious, where he married his phone with a preacher and everything. Now that video makes sense.

I remember I promised my kids a cell phone when they turned 16, they got shamed at school for not having one they went outside and played as soon as they got the cell phone this went away very quickly. This is a tool of the devil and they will listen to anything told to them off the internet and don’t even get me started on ADHD and medication.

I know Apple offers its "Screen Time" feature but from what I understand this can easily be turned off again. A better option is to get a "dumb phone" like the Mudita Pure which only offers the bare minimum features. And, no, I’m not an investor in/employee of any dumb phone company – I just think their products offer good alternatives to iPhones and Android phones.

If your husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend when he wakes up in the morning first looks at the phone before looking at you, end that relationship and get out of there

  42. SK Clips on March 17, 2023 at 6:54 am

This cost me an hour of sleep, check your phone when you wake up in the morning because people may have cancelled the meeting you’re getting up for

  43. Carl Leroy on March 17, 2023 at 6:54 am

    True words

Being able to click off the apps and focus your energies in other areas is becoming more and more apparent, being part of a support bubble while evaluating your own self-care routines helps to find balance enabling you to achieve more and improve mental health.

  44. Vipon Kamango on March 17, 2023 at 6:55 am

Very true from what I heard from him. We need to balance on everything we do and the access is addiction.

Modern society has become technology driven. Our dependency on it has become too much..we are distanced fro. reality.. Real communication is about talking with people through meeting each other. Too.much social media and cell phones are destroying society. I.lovd reading novels, writing and spending quality time with my dog family and friends. I have decided to take a break from technology. I am fed up.of it. The good old days life was more fruitful. Today it is getting boring and crap

  48. Battlefield Ace on March 17, 2023 at 7:00 am

Not until you realize that most people do not care about you on social media will you then be able to focus on real relationships and be happy. 👍

  49. Lazarus Blackwell on March 17, 2023 at 7:04 am

I dont even use Facebook or any "social" media.

    I just find it boring.

I use only youtube and skype.

Youtube for learning new things and skype to talk to my friend.

  50. Anupam Raj on March 17, 2023 at 7:05 am

I am going to show this video to my class and introduce a new policy for phones. It is troubling me so much that these teenagers are so strongly addicted to their phones and they cannot put it away in the classroom. Hopefully this will motivate them.
