  4. saib adam on March 14, 2023 at 6:13 am

Not sure if the definition of a smart home is a home that can turn on a boat load of lights.

  5. D-Nice on March 14, 2023 at 6:13 am

So you living in a cell with 24/7 constant monitoring and recording?

  6. Alex Nichiporchik on March 14, 2023 at 6:14 am

Thinking about forgetting how all the lights are setup and debugging it gives me so much anxiety

  9. NeveR on March 14, 2023 at 6:16 am

Of course you can have all this if paying your bill is not an issue

  10. Carl Davison on March 14, 2023 at 6:16 am

Not a lot automated tbh other than lights and a few blinds. Home Assistant blows this to bits.

  11. Super Nova on March 14, 2023 at 6:17 am

I have a question….where is the Magic… you said where the magic happens ??? I didnt see any magic…

  12. KHGamer on March 14, 2023 at 6:19 am

Just use Home Assistant. It will reduce the amount of hubs u use to 1, and if u don’t know how to write scripts, ChatGPT will help. I know how to write scripts, but ChatGPT has helped get rid of those small overlooked mistakes.

  13. JustJeetLe on March 14, 2023 at 6:20 am

love the curtains hanging on clamps

  14. Joshua Minnaar on March 14, 2023 at 6:24 am

Put your toilet paper on the roll mate.

  15. Atlas on March 14, 2023 at 6:26 am

Cool, you turned lights on and off. My home assistant makes this look like cave man shit.

  16. Mr. Virk Media on March 14, 2023 at 6:26 am

    Loved it, gud man

  17. Resident Evil on March 14, 2023 at 6:27 am

Hi Alex, you have a nice house but honestly speaking, i am not impressed by your set up. You still use either remotes, your phone, or your voice to control every device in your home. The point of a smart home, is not that, the point is to have your house do things for you instead of you doing it. Some times, the que "it just works" is not enough because "it works" in a specific way take or leave it. For me, i would leave it. I understand that it works for you and you feel happy about it but a video of "if this then that" should not be called "Smart Home Tour" and if you need to press a button on a remote for something to happen i wouldn’t even call it "automation". You have successfully replaced regular wall switches to remote controls 🙁

  18. D P on March 14, 2023 at 6:27 am

It seems the concept of smart home is understood as a whole shit of light here

  19. Smart Home Tours on March 14, 2023 at 6:31 am

Love the video, I added it to my smart home tour playlist

  20. jolan bvrgarii on March 14, 2023 at 6:31 am

Unpopular Opinion: When I see RGB lights setup in every light socket of a house I can’t help but feel like the owners of the house went out with some friends for the night and their 12-13-year-old kids invited friends over while they were gone and made blanket forts and changed the lights to RGB to look "cool" and match the blanket fort vibe. I’ve never understood how a grown adult can change their living room lights to purple, pink, and blue and think that’s what the living room has been missing all along. RGB is only impressive to people young enough to still be in school and any anytime I see someone with RGB everywhere, I instantly think they must still be in high school or at the latest still an undergrad, and it all happens subconsciously without me realizing.

  21. Riemer Van De Beek on March 14, 2023 at 6:32 am

Not to be rude or anything but is not impressive at all.

Just a few hue lights? Really? Thats not even a smart home by todays standards.

  22. Esiah Howard on March 14, 2023 at 6:33 am

random person: oh nice lights, where’d you get them?
    me:

  23. Evan Edinger on March 14, 2023 at 6:34 am

Actually…… you COULD have the blinds go halfway up or better with Somfy! Even if they’re RTS and not IO. You just need to get a Somfy Tahoma hub and hook it up to homekit using Homebridge. I’ve got specific spots I like my blinds to sit at which I use this way 🙂

  24. MrBababuwi on March 14, 2023 at 6:36 am

    total bs

  25. Abdulaziz Albash on March 14, 2023 at 6:37 am

If I am using motion sensor linked with light, and the wall switch was off, is there any way to make the light turn on based on the motion?

  26. David Vazquez on March 14, 2023 at 6:37 am

lmao this clown throwing subtle hints like he might have someone else in the bed with him on a regular basis

  27. Jeff Zammit on March 14, 2023 at 6:40 am

Not really that impressive this day and age to be honest. Could probably have purchased a Control4 system for the same ballpark cost and have more.

  28. David Franks on March 14, 2023 at 6:40 am

Great video – you mentioned that on your Somfy blinds that you can only do the “my” custom mode from the remote but what I do is set a scene for the “my” button. As I have night and day blinds so I need open, closed and custom. Works well.

  29. Irena Durakic-Edwards on March 14, 2023 at 6:41 am

    No cat in smart home??

  30. emz on March 14, 2023 at 6:44 am

    What blinds are they?

  31. DomoticsDuino - Smart Home, Flight Sim e altro on March 14, 2023 at 6:44 am

Very nice setup. I made an home automation system built on top of OpenHAB 3 on raspberry and some sonoff (flashed with tasmota firmware) and esp8266 device. It’s simpler than your but it works 🙂 I never made a video tour just like your…maybe it’s an idea for the next video on my channel. Thanks for showing

  32. Andy B on March 14, 2023 at 6:46 am

I’m guessing things are connected to his wifi…via wifi then? 😁

  33. YeCannyDaeThat on March 14, 2023 at 6:48 am

Please share the wallpaper in your bedroom

  36. quantumrift11 on March 14, 2023 at 6:51 am

This way on Friday when your girlfriend gets home and the doors are all opening and closing, the lights are all strobing, Cher is blaring 100% on the sound systems and porn is blasting on every screen in the house with the smoke machine a-haze and confetti machines raining sparkles wall to wall.. You can tell her you were hacked.

  37. Taylor on March 14, 2023 at 6:57 am

Check out Home Assistant, but don’t run it on a Pi, run it on a real computer. I think you’d quite enjoy the ability to integrate everything into one hub capable of powerful complex automations as well as the ability to expose any of the devices out into an Apple Home for Siri control.

  38. Dave Spence on March 14, 2023 at 6:57 am

Wonder if he’s got a smart blowup doll under bed lol

I like your smart blind. It is not roller blind. Where to buy this type of blind as I am building my smart house as well.

The state of your network rack gives me nightmares!… I live just down the road from you and am a professional AV & Smarthome installer…. I’d literally tidy that thing up for you free of charge and expect nothing in return just so I can sleep better at night!

  48. Christina Archambault on March 14, 2023 at 7:07 am

I bet you don’t feel so smart when the power goes out and every damn smart thing needs to be set up again 🤦‍♀️
