I wish Linus Tech would build me a awesome gaming PC. I want mine to be sleek and a sleeper. I do like LEDs but I want folks to underestimate it’s power and performance.Im a delivery driver and in return would be willing to put a vinyl sticker of the Linus Tech Logo on my vehicle for 24 months or longer depending on how awesome the PC is.

  11. Xander Killeen on March 25, 2022 at 6:01 pm

IT HAS PS2 PORTS! WHAT!! How did Linus not notice that when he saw the date!

That looks like a cheap micro ATX MB. Linus did not mention that they also save money by using a MB model with a slower FSB speed. Motherboard manufacturers always have a slightly cheaper version that has a slower FSB. The components on the board communicate thru the FSB (if you like, lane ways on the board), ie. sound card to CPU. So the FSB frequency does matter.
I have never heard of only ONE slot for Ram; no dual channel and you are forced to buy a big expensive Ram module as you have no more room after that.
USB 2.0, wow it’s not 2005 !!!! That really makes the system look bad. And the $25 power supply (yuck); that will fail in three or four years.
    .
I bet that mother board cost them like $40.
Terrible for a gaming system; but that’s how they saved the $$. I think they think people who are not technical at all will be blown away by the silly light show on the front of the case.

Hey, I partition my drives different so I can keep file storage separate from the OS- in this sense I can reset or even install a different OS without having to move documents or whatever other crap I have on the drive. It’s just all there ya know? Easier resets requiring less time backing things up etc etc

Wal-Mart computers…. guess they ain’t as bad as I’d expect them to be. I’m pretty surprised 🙂

  19. Ryku Sengi on March 25, 2022 at 6:07 pm

  23. SoraBossGaming on March 25, 2022 at 6:12 pm

Hey If I can get about 60-90 fps on apex legends on a crummy computer that barely works half the time I would be happy with a greneric Walmart PC that runs better than expected

  24. Averse 14 on March 25, 2022 at 6:13 pm

Linus, Walmart definitely needs to invite you down so you can help them fix their computer build problems, most definitely!
