Best Budget Phones Under £300 (Winter 2022)
Reviewing the top 10 best budget smartphones you can grab for a UK price under £300 in 2022. Here’s my favourite phones when it comes to camera tech, gaming performance, battery life and beyond, for a low-to-mid-range cost. From the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro and Poco X4 to the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and Realme 9, these handsets offer solid value for your cash.
Best Budget Smartphones Under £300 Chapters:
0:00 – Annoying talky bit
0:56 – Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
2:48 – Poco X4 Pro
3:39 – Poco X3 Pro
4:58 – Poco F3 5G
5:14 – OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G
6:45 – OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite
7:06 – Motorola Moto G82
8:09 – Realme 9 (& variants)
9:36 – Nokia G60 5G
10:35 – Honor 50
11:27 – Vivo IQOO Neo 6
12:29 – Byyyeeeee
Recent best budget smartphones for a £300 price or under include the Motorola Moto G82, which may not enjoy timely updates but sports a respectable camera, gaming smarts etc. The Nokia G60 is a great choice for eco-conscious users, while the Honor 50 has now dropped in price here in the UK.
Xiaomi is still one of the best mobile manufacturers in 2022 for budget-friendly prices. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has hit the UK and impresses in almost every area for around £300. Some camera quirks aside (like the lack of 4K video shooting), it’s hard to find much to fault. As long as you don’t mind MiUI that is. The Poco X4 Pro is essentially the same phone though, so check pricing before you commit! And don’t forget the X3 Pro if you’re after a cheaper smartphone.
The Realme 9 may lack that 5G connectivity but it makes up for that with strong media chops and impressive battery life. And I’m also a fan of the OnePlus Nord CE 2, as it boasts many of the same advantages, including decent battery life and a reasonably dependable camera. Be warned that the CE 2 Lite model does away with the OLED screen and super-fast charging, however.
I gotta ask man, where do you get these amazing wallpapers for your phones?
… very specific request – list of budget/mid range phones available in the u.s.
Still have Samsung A52s 5g taken for the best mid-range smartphone …
Wetherspoons Chris, £2.49 a pint! Love u!
Redmi 10C is amazing. I bought it for about $100 and it still hasn’t given me any problems after a few months of use. 6.71 inch display, Snapdragon 680. The only thing Id wish for is NFC. Highly recommended if you’re really low on cash.
I think pixel 6a under 300 $ in tha market, Maybe best phone or?
Just picked up the note 11 pro for £180. Hopefully worth it!!
No A52s?
Looking to buy a phone in this range now, would anyone recommend the Samsung a52s 5g instead of these? It’s currently £285 for me.
If there’s something that catches my attention in these thumbnails are the wallpapers, where do you get them?
How about samsung a73 or a53? They not so good?
Pls description of your wallpapers share a link ❤
Is the Realme GT ME a good option or do you have a better alternative? (i am in search for an under 300 euroa phone capable of handling decently heavy games)
Ulefone Armor 8 Pro. Indestructible. Has everything I need. £135 and I could drop it in the bath and it’d be fine. NFC, Face, fingerprint, dual sim 4G (stepped down to 3G because no one needs more), OTG and USB-C, 3.5mm jack port. Their range of rugged phones are pretty good and a reasonable price, biggest battery is a 13800mah unit.
your daughter is going to hate your channel when she becomes a teenager
5G is still shit waste of money, you can save a hefty penny if you get a decent 4G phone instead.
I don’t see 5G becoming reliable for another 2-3 years at least.
Love Nokia but what’s up with that ancient water drop camera thingy? Are they even still trying? Or do they think that we should just start bunging on trees to communicate?
Paid £200 for my Snapdragon S10 Plus.. Definitely won’t be upgrading in a very long time 😁
I was on a hurry and had a budget of $200. I got a redmi note 10 5g for around $160. Pretty good phone, I got a 90hz refresh rate, 128gb storage and 6gb ram. The camera is a drawback though.
Would have been good to provide links where to buy. Can’t find the iqoo neo 6 anywhere in UK…. And no where near £300 internationally.
Also, you should probably have your overall pick at the end for this price range.
The only downside of Poco phones is Dead screen, it occurs after a year of Heavy use. You might wanna get it repaired to fix a Little Error chip and sacrifice the IP rating.
Where do you get these wallpapers? 😂 some of them are pretty cool to be honest 😅
Thank you
Wow wow very nice
I’d definitely go for the Nokia G60, but a good Black Friday deal for the Pixel 6a might even be better.
Looking for an upgrade to my excellent Pocophone F1.
id love if some one actually posted a video of what the best phone is like if you actually had to spend your own money and go buy a new phone what would it be…..
Do you think that the Moto edge 30 NEO has a better camera than the old Samsung S10? I Cant decide if is worth the change. thankkss
in the range under 600 whats the best option if battery and display are my main concerns ?
I use the OnePlus 8 and honestly it’s a regret… don’t buy the OnePlus device..!!!!!!…the screens are crappy
I bought mi 11 lite 5g NE 256/8 gb
270$ it’s good experience
Right now I am watching on CinemaVariety . all movies and PPV events available with no extra cost
I would also recommend the Galaxy A33 5G especially knowing that Samsung will offer up to 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
I still have the Poco F3, it’s a banging device for the money! Good battery, some of the best speakers too. It’s big and bulky though.
I would avoid the Nord CE 2 and Honor 50, only 1 loudspeaker so likely to not be great for media.
Also, don’t think the IQOO Neo 6 is even sold in the UK.
i got iphone xs max for 299
Pixel 6 currently £299 at currys after i just purchased 6a for the same price earlier this week 🙈
is it worth waiting for redmi note 12?
It may be quite old in mobile phone terms, but would you (still) recommend a Redmi Note 10 Pro in late 2022? …I would be getting a refurbished one – either from Backmarket or Techinthebox.
The pixel 6a is now just 300 pound
Under £300 is budget😅I’m happily using a 4 year old phone worth about £80, running Android 12 with no bloatware, does everything I need and most importantly is smaller than 6"😅
This is what I need to know
Seen the oneplus nord 2t for £269 on amazon Black Friday deal. Its a great phone with a decent camera as well. Originally selling for £369 this year
Mi 11 Lite NE 5G is still fantastic. Might be slightly over 300 quid but I highly recommend it.
how can i get x3 pro? can someone link me
My favourite blower is Mr. Crusty Wanksock
Moto g82 is on sale in the country I live in, its around 170 dollar, is it a hit?
Stuck between Honor 70 & Oneplus Nord 2t.. Any advice?
I’m getting Oppo a54s for Christmas
Due to a family funeral I missed Black Friday sales. Do you guys think the sales will return on New Year’s day in the UK? My current phone is barely working.
where did you find your anime wallpapers
