Why are these devices overpriced? LOL jeez. I rather buy an apple tablet
Speed is where eink technolo Sucks
Very helpful! Thank you! reMarkable 2 is right up my alley!
What a surprise. Android makes things unusable again.
She writes with her left hand and the camera is on the left… Instead of showing us how the writing experience is (latency, etc), the only thing we see is her wrist…
Not sure, if anyone has mentioned it. But if you use fingers to highlight text in documents on the Boox, then the highlights straighten up and can be extracted. But yes, I would prefer that for pen highlighting as well. The learning curve is high for Boox, but once you understand their functions, it works really well. That is – until the next software update changes your workflow again.
i wonder with Knidle scribe on the way , if Remarkable 2 will still be in the lead for the "same" category
Thank you for this video ! Have you looked into the supernote a5x or a6x ? It seems to be a great compromise
I believe e-ink tablets acting as an additional display for apple ecosystem be a good idea.
Boox one is kinda pointless, you might as well just get an iPad then since it’d be cheaper and more versatile than the Boox.
Yah hi. I still use a pen and paper. Costs me a few dollars.
You pay a lot of money to buy Remarkable 2 and after you find out that you have to pay in addition every month 7.99 $ to have the possibility to use all the features of this device. Saaaad!
As soon as the Remarkable can produce a backlit model, I’m in.
I have a Kobo ereader (the Forma) and it is the greatest thing ever. It’s unfortunate that no one can yet merge the two needs just yet, but wow, progress has been made.
Very helpful review! ‘d been trying to distinguish between the ReMarkable and the Boox, this really helped to show the strengths and weaknesses of each.Sadly it seems like Remarkable require you to subscribe to their monthly service, just to get handwriting recognisition; a rip-off.
can we make animations on flipaclip app on these tablets and test it?
this is a joke the remarkable is basically a sheet of glass and will brake if you look at it wrong not to mention it is not the cheapest, O not to mention the subscription service that gives you the features that used to be free and are free on the other devices. The fact she doesn’t talk about the Supernote A5X / A6K makes me think she was sent those 3 and told to give them good revies.
Do your research and don’t listen to her very bias and has no idea what she is talking about.
What about Dasung tablet?
So that wasnt much help
I adore my 1st generation reMarkable, I especially like that the surface doesn’t feel like glass. I don’t mind the lack of backlight – just clip a book light onto it, and you’re good to go!
Be careful with buying it and expectations, the equipment is good but it is difficult to run some docs and above all the technical service, as some other member puts it, is very bad and there is no repair service (important when you realize that with the smallest blow is damaged and obviously not covered by the guarantee) keep this in mind, if I had known I think I would have chosen another option with service
I’m glad. Paper—-and your privacy—is KING…
Please, please, please, try to curb your high-pitched voice.
I’m thinking.
From 20 Sept reMarkable remove subscription to text recognition and storage. Now is free which makes reMarkable more valued.
Do I need a subsribtion to use One Drive on the Remarkably 2?
No light shining in your eyes with those tablets
عيز واحد زي ده❤
I want a simple note taking and pdf reading e-ink device, no cloud, no wireless, possibly bluetooth but must have an sd card slot and usb interface. handwriting to type software would be nice. I’m sorely disappointed the marked does not cater for that option, such a missed opportunity.
Thanks to the piss vinegar for this review ! Hey from Idiot Cratie
You are very pretty.
Best think about e-ink – great in sunlight, and good battery life.
Everything else sucks. Everything. It’s just bad as a generic tablet really.
Why do people care so much about a paper feel – do you write on a glossy while board and wish it felt like paper or a chalk board? I prefer a smooth glass personally, and the most important issue is just whether the stylus is highly-responsive.
I don’t know why wasting money on a pad which does the writing only. The reason I say this is that these tablets aren’t cheap at all, which entirely beat the purpose. If you really want to own a tablet, go grab an ipad or whatever.
300??!! Why not just go for Apple Air
Incredible usefull. It’s a pity they are not for sale in South America, maybe in 2023.
I love how you are showing us using them on your lap and not on a table that we often don’t have or essentially don’t use them in such situations. Also helps me with perspective on their size.
It’s just great but the price isu my be the only problem
the RM2 doesnt come with the pen though. you need to buy it seperately, which will set you back at a higher price
You should also consider Supernote as an e-ink contender
Either you are screaming at the microphone or your microphone is bad either way it’s not a good experience
Remarkable is meant for reading pdf. Why complain?
I’m glad that there are finally some options on the market. The first I read about E-Ink tablets was in 96 or 97 in an article in Popular Mechanics where they made it sound as though it would be released any day now.
BIG MISS without the Supernote AX 5 on this list.
I love e-ink but I do the same thing with my iPad Air 4 using notability and the Apple Pencil. The air is a lot more expensive but this device is cool but it would need to be sub $200 for me to look into it.
2:31 how we believe you if you cant even spell Dropbox correctly?
I’ll stick with an ipad and pencil!
Though I like the idea of an e-ink note pad a5 and an a4 size.
If there’s a product with e-ink screen and improved functionality of Newton MessagePad, I’ll say "Holy Grail!"
bEWARE OF YOUR VOICE, LADY… sometimes you scream, some others you yell….
Nice
In your opinion, which is best for reading books, pdf, articles, etc… highlighting and saving, taking notes and saving? If different, which is best for taking notes (while reading something else), and then filing or saving notes into a place where you can access later?
Remarkable charges an extortionate price for the stylus.
