id like 2 reccomend dark and darker. its still in open testing (sometimes) idk when its set to release but its next playtest is in feb. 2023. its like if dnd was turned into an extract pvp dungeon crawler.

My favorite is embers adrift. It’s a indie MMO that has no marketing but is a amazing game.
Two games which were new to me that I played in 2022-jan 2033 that I loved were The Cycle: Frontier and Choo Choo Charles, a smaller indie game. Both games are super solid and worth checking out.

Useless list full of trash, but that just sums up the year. No good games. It was just God of War and Elden RIng. Everything else: TRASH.

A game that most players can’t beat the first boss is game of the year makes no sense to me.

i myself really enjoyed dying light 2 stay human. i spent over 60 hours on the game and i enjoyed every second, the parkour mechanics and characters were really good and hit a really good point for apocolpyse genre

I’d like to mention ASTLIBRA Revision, essentially it’s a love letter to the golden era JRPGs with fun combat/progressing system and a typical si-fi esq JRPG story along with good pacing. It’s a shame this game doesn’t get more attention from western community.

Really? no Forbidden West which was one of the best games of 2022 next to God of War Ragnarok. I’m not a From Software fan at all so Elden Ring wasn’t my type of game but I did try it and it’s very over rated imo. Forbidden West was the best game this year
I only played like 8 games that released in 2022 because I spent a lot of time playing games from 2020/2021, but hands down my favorite game was God of War Ragnarok. Cult of the Lamb and Stray were great. Horizon Forbidden West and Tunic were pretty good as well. I recently picked up Elden Ring so I’m excited to give that one a shot.
