2022 is looking to become the software race. We saw Apple push the hardware aspects in 2021, but I think the best laptops in 2022 are going to really need to benefit from increased utilization of the components that were already inside of these laptops.

Would the Macbook Pro 13 work just as well as the 14 and 16?
Really cool if you could do 1 for videogame streamers and people who want to edit gaming footage… unless this vid pretty much works for that as well?
When are we getting a rundown on the Acer Swift X 14 (2022)?
Should include acer nitro 5 5800h+RTX3070 which is the best value for money.
While looking at the Premiere pro requirements, I saw that 32 gb ram is recommended, but I’m considering buying a computer with less ram capacity due to its price, is 32gb ram very important? Should I buy 32 gb ram and 4gb gpu or 16 gb ram and 6 gb gpu?
Thanks for the great reviews. I ordered my Asus Zenbook Pro duo. Looking for to learning all about the hair pulling world of video editing. Lol.
Wow …. love the background of your video!
Thanks for the depth you’re going into. The info on the colour gamut was really useful
Hey Ben! Thanks so much for the detailed video. I’m curious as to why you didn’t benchmark the Dell XPS 15 in your Premiere Pro Export Test? You have it listed in your High End Laptops, but I couldn’t find its benchmark performance compared to others in the Premiere Pro category. Do you happen to know how it performed? I’m looking to purchase the Dell XPS17, i7-11800H, RTX™ 3060, 64GB, and I’m trying to get an idea of how it would perform as compared to the other laptops you had tested. Would you have any guidance/thoughts? I appreciate your help!
Very informative. Thank you. New Subscriber. 🍻
Super
Great video man, thanks! Only question I got is how important is de GPU gb amount? Is 8 gb enough, or do you need 16 gb for 4K video editing? Thanks!
if you feel like you have no space on the table for this laptops, easy just send it to me! appreciate!:)
Does any of these on the list cover 8k video editing?
I believe the Dell XPS 15 i7-11800H price is off. I am finding this laptop to be $2,500 to $3,000 range
Sorry, but I didn’t really find this helpful. Too many options, not enough explanation on each choice, not much focus on colour accuracy (when it is something important for creators), only highlighting sRGB. I would reduce the options and explain why each option deserves to be on the list. All the best anyway
its not silicone dude….
Thanks for the video 🙂 might be worth mentioning that if you use Resolve at all you’ll be pretty constrained by vram with any windows laptop (other than those with the 3080ti which is out/coming but is unreasonably expensive imo.)
Superbe vidéo
Nice detailed video helped me out with what im leaning towards getting now
This was very comprehensive and I liked that you went over what the technical spec terms means
👌🏼
Do you recommend Asus Rog Zephyrus S17 2021? 165Hz or 120Hz version? Thanks
This helped. Before I watched this video terms like CPU, GPU, RAM, SDD, etc. were like reading hieroglyphics for me. Thanks for explaining the different parts of a laptop and the recommendations.
My favorite tech reviewer so far, always have high quality reviews with every bit of information I could need on the tech, amazing video!
Is Ryzen is consistent in its performance?…How long It will last…Hope u will reply🇮🇳
What you think is the best budget laptop for Premire pro with no flaws or just a little bit
What computer would you get if you have a a budget of 1500 to 2,000 dollars I’m trying to edit videos and record music
Hi, love from India. 🇮🇳
Zephyrus g14 R7 5800HS +1650.
Can it edit 4K 2-3 layers Full quality playback?
Aero 15 or Legion 5 with the same price and the same specs (I7 with Rtx 3060) As a content creator what you choose??
Cool stuff!!
Excelente great guide thanks!
Thanks for writing up lists of each of hardware item and what resolution it is capable of comfortably handling! That’s what I hit YouTube for, and you came thru for me. 🙂
I love 1080, 4K is beautiful & all but 1080 is fine! Love how you explained the cpu/gpu/ram/memory/color specs. It really helped
1st of all, thank you so much for this awesome video, must took forever to make it. I am assuming that 12th Gen and Ryzen 6900hs/hx should have similar performance in Adobe premiere pro? I am not sure if should get Asus G14(amd)or Razer 14(intel). I’m 60% games, 40% adobe premiere pro. but I don’t mind with 10-15 frames drop/less in the game. However I do mind laggy playback in premiere pro. which one should I get in 2022? (if we ignore razer 14 heating problems), thank you, please help.
Great video, great teacher. Thanks Ben!
Late into the Commentary, but, i would love to see a comparison between the HP ZBOOK STUDIO G7 or their latest most maxed out offering vs the other players in the market.
Getting back in the game of video editing. This has been a tremendous help. Thank You
Thanks for this man. Super helpful!
Very informative!
Hi Ben! I need you to make my decision for me hahaha! I’m a video editor. I currently use a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Intel i7 with 6 cores. I need to utilize Sony’s Catalyst Browse software which requires a minimum 6GB GPU. I’d like a laptop that edits as well as my lenovo but with a bigger GPU. Any thoughts?
Hi Ben,
I have a quick question.
What would you say is the better laptop for gopro 4k footage.
Right now there is the asus tuf dash f15 and the msi katana gf66 on sale. Both for 1300$
Both laptops are the same
16gb ram
512ssd
GeForce rtx 3070
The only thing that change in the processor
Asus with intel i7-11370h
Msi with intel i7-11800h
Me personally, I like the asus more but can the i7-11370h keep up with the i7-11800h?
I would use as software davinci resolve
Would be nice to get an answer.
Does an i5-12500h 12th gen Alder Lake CPU laptop start to fan if you play videos on YouTube really fast?
Hello ben..I go through your videos. I get lots of help.thanks ..I have a question that i am planning to buy legion 5 for graphics design.
I have a option
legion 5 165hz (2021) and legion 5 pro 165hz …
May i know which color gamut is best ? Or is it same color gamut. Which should i buy?
Used your link to purchase the Acer Swift X yesterday, I’m looking to get back to creating consistent content as using my Samsung A10 to film and edit wasn’t practical for the type of content I am creating. I found your videos informative, keep up the great work.
so QQ I know that final cut pro is only Mac. and if I want to use adobe I have to get a windows PC. I am not sure yet what to choose.. what would you recommend because I want to buy a laptop that can do 4K video quickly so what are your thoughs.
Perfect video. So much useful information under each laptop. I think this video definitely helped me make a decision for my next laptop
Hi, would it be nice to have some kind of matrix like price : performance? I am getting lost with all this topical info. I guess that this info is important so you know what components are but I cannot see if the mid range computer is a better computer for my money than a more pro version.
this was so insightful! thank you
Could I get one for free please it’ll help me provide for my family. I’d really appreciate it . 🙏
