great analysis, rly loved it!
Tal was lost after the queen trade
Incredible… I only learned recently how dominant Bobby Fischer was in blitz. It’s honestly even a bit more impressive than his Standard play. Unbelievable. Thanks for sharing, Daniel! Your content is the best of the best.

Tal was quite perplexed by Fischer’s outstanding performance and was quoted as saying something like "Fischer had played some rather weak blitz games not long before." How could that be? Fischer in his teens was a strong blitz player so how could he not be that much stronger in 1970?
Simple for Bobby
made it look easy after playing such an unpretentious opening
You can bet that Magnus is playing with white!
Like..before I even start watching 😁
Is there any video footage of these 1970 Herceg Novi blitz games by any chance?
Very interesting, from what source did you get the comments by Fischer? I know that Soltis wrote something about it, Fischer-Matulovic was very interesting I recall, but I would be eager to know. Thanks in advance.
A match between these 2 would have been so fun.
You are the best, King! I don’t play standard time control anymore. I’ve lost interest. However, your videos always entertain me. Your analysis i clear and enjoyable as well. Have a nice evening, sir!
Good day from Denmark. When can we see the games Fischer- Larsen? Thanks
Very nice to watch some rare Bobby`s games, this one playing like Carlsen and specially against Tal`s attacking style. The little nuance of …c5 against whites c3 in that opening, giving white an invisible better game, is just another prove of the very deep and still not fully unraveled chess understanding of Bobby Fischer
What an interesting game between these titans, thanks for your analysis Danny. By the way, when will your next Hangout be?
Fischer left Tal in the dust after 16 years of age and in 1970 t al was no match
your comments made the game more beautifull mr danial , thanks alot
The Great Robert James Fischer
Your comparision of Fischer with Carlsen is insightful and fascinating.
Could you please explain why putting the bishop in front of the e-pawn was good? I would rather have the bishop on f4 as we are taught not to put Bishop in front of pawn. Thanks.
There is one answer to the question who was the greatest player ever. I am sure Daniel King confirms.
The Great Mikhail Nekhemevich Tal
If you think Carlsen plays like Fisher, who do you think played like Caruana today?
When you have already watched all the videos about Fischer and all the videos about Tal on this channel, and suddenly a new video about Tal v Fischer is uploaded
BOBBY FISHER greatest blitz player ever.check the Facts.
Greatest player Ever.RJF
Thanks for this oldie. I never made the Carlson connection before, but I do see the same sure-footedness once they get a grip on the position. If I recall correctly, Fischer blew away the field in this tournament.
Amazing insight and deep documentation work, well done Mr King.
Bobby after 16 beat Tal 4 strait. all bobbys 4 lossses to tal was before 16!!
magnus study fischer’s opening that is the reason of similarity.
7:23 That sounds exactly like something Magnus wold say
"biting on the rock"
I would be happy to see more games of Tal.
What a fun gang was the top level chess people back then.
Fischer was possibly the greatest blitz player in history alongside Capablanca. Both played blitz at near their classical standards thus demonstrating a near total mastery of the game.
Thank you for covering and analyzing these great blitz games! Knowing how much time Fischer spent on each game is very interesting. It would be wonderful to know how much time was spent by his opponents. I’m sure back then they weren’t recorded. It seems likely Fischer was thinking, if he did at all, instead of playing instinctively, on his opponents clock! Tal is one of my favorite players of all times. But his health was always a problem. I can’t imagine what he would have accomplished otherwise. Tal and Fischer became good friends, when I read that he visited Tal while he was in the hospital. That shows is great respect for one of the chess immortals! Do you know if Fischer was fluent in Russian or any of the various Soviet dialects? I believe he taught himself by reading Soviet books on chess. I am enjoying all these blitz games. Supporting your great channel is a great and pleasing investment. Thank you!
Love these blitz games! Thank you!
thanks Dany…but i gotta ask,Tal lost? Is this some kind of opposite universe?hash tag go Mishka….Dany u b cool
Love all the RJF content!
Seems so easy, Tal looked like a russian schoolboy facing Fischer in a simul. Wow
Please don’t compare that mitherfucker Magnus with Fischer
Very nice going back and see analysis of such a great game between titans of that time by Mr King. Thanks
