Love my MacMini, even though it only has 8 gig of RAM. Plus all the real estate on my desk I now have without the big PC monolith hogging all the room. And let’s not forget the iPad Pro!

  2. kaleodos on February 9, 2023 at 4:34 am

Do these pc come with Windows os preinstalled

  3. Adam Ward on February 9, 2023 at 4:34 am

Hi Matt, I’ve been watching your videos on video editing PC’s, thank you for those. I’m getting into DJI drone video’s (4K). And I need a new PC but I’m tight on space. I really really fancy getting the Beelink GTR 5 Ryzen 9 5900HX mini PC, but I’m unsure whether it will handle editing 4k footage. With your knowledge I would really appreciate your view on where this machine will do the job. I don’t mind if it’s not the fastest thing on the planet, so long as I can edit the 4k footage. What do you think?

  4. Kevin O'Quinn on February 9, 2023 at 4:35 am

Matt Im record and master music as well as Legal Videography, will this config handle the music as well?

  5. the illumined alumni on February 9, 2023 at 4:35 am

First computer on the list no longer exists.

  6. Gerald Prost on February 9, 2023 at 4:37 am

My custom built PC is a few years old now and was struggling with After Effects so I added an Mvme ssd for the cache and I topped up the RAM to 64 Gb. It seems to be handling it okay now.

  7. Papa_Da_Rapper on February 9, 2023 at 4:41 am

🙏🙏 exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you. All the other videos diy are mostly for gaming, not too many on music. I have a studio and it’s time for me to get a new pc. I like this option. Then I could just buy the other ssd, and ram I want

  8. AADemps on February 9, 2023 at 4:45 am

I was shopping for a system last Dec and had very limited options given the video card shortages. I ended up buying an MSI P100A 11(almost bought the P50 instead) and the MSI PS321URV 4k monitor. I think that is the first pre-built computer I have purchased in over 20 years. I also looked at the ASUS ProArt monitors and they are nice too, but I thought the MSI monitor was better value. I am a big fan of ASUS products though.

  9. 24 Hustle on February 9, 2023 at 4:49 am

That first computer is like $2,500 now..

    Hey there everyone!

Im new to videography and just getting going. Found out my laptop is an absolute potato for editing even 1080 proxies. That being said do you guys think a system of these specs will edit 4k fairly well?

    Proc:Intel i7
    GPU:RTX 3060
    Ram:32gb ddr5
    1TB SSD
    2TB HDD

  13. Brittany L on February 9, 2023 at 4:54 am

I had an HP laptop and it was THE worst computer I’ve ever had. I wish there were different brands in this video…and screw Apple lol

  14. Yas on February 9, 2023 at 4:56 am

YAY!! I’ve been waiting for this video!! Thank you for making these videos! I didn’t know anything about pcs but with your channel i now know more.

  15. Taidgh Richards on February 9, 2023 at 4:56 am

Buy a used M! macbook air, I just have, and honestly the best option imo and I was a super pro windows user, the portability, price per perfomance, speakers, usability etc is honestly not matched. I got a 512gb version for 880 euro in Ireland.

  16. piscis productions on February 9, 2023 at 4:56 am

  17. barkingspider2007 on February 9, 2023 at 4:57 am

I have a HP 8560w laptop (maxed out, 16gb Ram, Nvidia 2000m graphics card, 500GB SSD)
Upgraded to Elgardo Facecam and Wave 3 mic my laptop graphics card can’t handle the AI features of the Facecam… Bummer. Do I need the $1,000 system to edit my YouTube video and run the Facecam?
I tend to over buy my computers and then use them for a long time. PS: using $1,300 as a budget what options would you pick? Thanks for the video : )

Well I missed your intro, lol

  19. MOJOSTRONG on February 9, 2023 at 5:01 am

Hello, My former current computer (was a build) is kaput. I am currently using my Back up, Ockel win10. It is underpower for sure, I used the former to edit and stream TV which I used a Hauppauge TV/DVR card. I am thinking of getting two separate computers one for the editing and the other for you tube/email/streaming/vpning. What would you recommend? My monitor is a Sammie 55" TV monitor.

  20. Robert Spiller on February 9, 2023 at 5:03 am

Matt I’m trying to get into video editing with Davinci, but my question, my next question is instead of getting an expensive laptop, I can get a desk top and especially an IMac, or an Apple Mini with the M1 chip. I may not need an external drive, but I think I’ll get one just for the safety and storage. Now leaving the laptop question behind, would this configuration work for video editing?

  23. Ladymusicc on February 9, 2023 at 5:04 am

Ugh. I needed this. I wanted to build my own computer. I still night but this is super informative.

  24. MrGaryCooper on February 9, 2023 at 5:05 am

I assume all of these options work best when using proxies, correct? Or, can a MacMini with an M1 and 16GB of RAM handle RAW 4k clips in Premier?

  25. terri moody on February 9, 2023 at 5:05 am

Great information Matt! My husband is looking for a computer to support his new gopro videos and as beginners and asking a lot of questions, this has been helpful.

  27. Bledsooee on February 9, 2023 at 5:08 am

Would you know I where a could find prebuilt pc for streaming and video editing like with a 5k budget on complete setup

  28. Kenneth Kerr on February 9, 2023 at 5:10 am

Mac2013 (late) the infamous 🗑 is literally what pros use and you can typically find them for under 1,500. Working in 4K w/ 4K is silly… work with 4K in 1080 space using proxies until you’re ready to online… which again depending on what kinda pro you are… you typically won’t have to work on the online (and won’t have to touch the high-res footage.)

  29. Yas on February 9, 2023 at 5:12 am

For the $949 Best Buy computer, would u recommend me getting 32 gbs of ram instead of the 16? I’ll get either one of the brands u recommend in your description box just the 32 gbs of ram version. I want to game, Stream, and edit so I think it’ll be good but I’m not very knowledgeable on pcs💀 what do u think ?

  30. Jerry Nieves on February 9, 2023 at 5:13 am

Hey Mat!!!! I love your channel. I really listen to the things you recommend. I actually bought a Cyberpower PC for editing and Motion graphics 2 years ago. The only thing I would say you probably should mention is that Ryzen powered computers don’t have access to Thunderbolt tech. I think I would have preferred to buy an Intel just based on that fact instead of the Ryzen because I tend to run out of space on the internal SSD that I have when I really need to edit fast. I haven’t found an external drive that is super fast that I can edit off of. Can you recommend one for – CyberPowerPC – Gamer Master Gaming Desktop – AMD Ryzen 5 3600 – 16GB Memory – AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT – 1TB HDD + 500GB SSD – this computer???

  37. tygerstripes on February 9, 2023 at 5:26 am

You completely lost my confidence in your opinion when you started off with a HP product and then continued with another HP product. HP computers are massive POS and I will never buy another HP product in my life. So, your video here is a FAIL for me.

  40. Neeraj Vasudeva on February 9, 2023 at 5:30 am

Great content ! Would you create a video on high end video editing pc like $2000 and up. I was looking at your previous videos and the one that you posted is more than a year old video

  41. Jill Adams on February 9, 2023 at 5:31 am

Any suggestions for a higher end computer. What’s the best on the market you recommend?

  42. Sep & Julo on February 9, 2023 at 5:31 am

You also have some options for editing-laptops? :)?

  43. Clisare on February 9, 2023 at 5:32 am

I have the Mac Mini with the M1 chip and while it’s great for video editing, I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming or for streaming. In fact it’s a pain in the arse to use for those things. Most games don’t work either on a Mac, or with the m1 chip, and lots of plugins etc also don’t work with the m1 chip, including most programs that allow you to create a windows partition on your disc to play windows only games.

  44. Michael Moore on February 9, 2023 at 5:32 am

I can vouch for the Omen series being good with video. I have a 2060 in mine and it’s edits 4k, but if course runs smoother and more stable when using proxies.
