For first time sterilization, do you boil the duck bills as well?

If I’ve sterilized my parts in a sterilizer a few times do I need to worry about my freezer stashed milk having leached plastic in it?? 🙁

Do you need to wipe any milk off of the parts before putting them in the ziplock to put in the fridge? And how often do you recommend sterilizing parts? Just before the initial use? I know some people who sterilize everyday, some once a week. I’ve been doing once a week with the Medela microwave bags. Thanks so much. I love your videos and FB group – it’s all so helpful and especially right now since I’m not able to get out and be around other mommas!

Hello, I pump every 2 hours. Is it ok to use all day and wash it once during that day? I’m confused?

Great to know that sterilization needs to be done only once, initially… scared if all the plastic leech… also, just about any soap will do and how hot should water be? Just enough where you csn place your hands in to wash the parts? Lastly, how to sterilize for first time.. is it 10 min in continuously boiling water and we need to put in even the fragile parts?

How much soap do I need to put on warm water? Does is need to be soapy like there is too much bubbles on it? Or just like I put soap but there is no bubbles?

This was very helpful. I had been told to sterilize all my parts after every pump! And tubes 1x a day?! And I kept thinking this seems so wrong. Now I’m just going to rinse w hot water after a pump and throw them in the fridge as you suggested

Found another fast, easy way to sterilize pump parts, daily. UV light chamber has done a fantastic job whether I used the timed function or the auto. It has been amazing. These particular units have been tested for safety and efficacy. theuvworks.com ( I also unit for all those items that go into baby’s mouth- remote control, keys, phone, etc)
