so it appears you are relying on the silicone to hold the ports in place cause you didn’t use the locking rings. What will stop them from spinning?

Hey boss, quick question. what batteries would you recommend for a kayak power box? I purchased a premade box from a local kayak shop here in North AL and all I need is batteries. Shopping for them can get overwhelming fast!

    Great content btw!

A question that always pops up in my mind on these electrics is how waterproof these (usb) adapters are when a cable is plugged in. And how to get a waterproof connection to the action/360 cameras and cellphone.

    AWESOME!

I added a couple of on/off switches which allow power to the panel and a different switch to allow for charging the battery in the forward compartment. Unfortunately, I missed waterproofing a connection somewhere and the system fails on saltwater πŸ˜₯. Going to have to pull every splice to figure out where the problem is πŸ™„

Great job! A power source is mission essential kit when you’re out for the day or longer. Buck’s Island isn’t going to want to sell this beauty by the time you’re done with it!

Very nice install – do you ever have an issue with the drill in creating a bigger hole than needed?

Great video. When you charge your battery block, do you open the lid or leave everything in? Last time I accidentally shorted the charging terminals with the box closed, it tripped the fuse and ignited the hydrogen bomb, the box was shattered, and pieces flew everywhere. Just saying, be careful handling this type of things.

TJ: Could you use 16 ga wire instead of 14 ga, you have used in this video. I love you instructional videos. Please advise Thanks,

Great, clean install! I’m still debating how many holes I want to drill in my new one, but I definitely want to add one of these and a few lights. Top notch again, sir.

TJ. Nice clean work. I have a question about the SAE connecter. I have an elite ti2 9” I want to connect to a Dakota lithium battery. Can I use the SAE connecter for this purpose? Obviously I will splice in the inline fuse just want to know if this type of connecter will work for this type application. Thanks in advance for any info!
