DIY battery box to power kayak accessories.

DIY battery box to power kayak accessories.

My take on a battery box to power my kayak accessories. This box powers my depth finder, and charges my phone. I’m also able to power two cameras for all day recording.

NICE! I’m pondering how feasible it would be to put a LiFePo battery in the forward tub of the console to run my Garmin. That way the only holes drilled would be in a replaceable part.

Would one of those batteries run a humminbird helix 7? And for how long?

Enough room for two more batteries in there. Good looking setup 👌

    Adding a voltmeter will help

I used the same battery… I only bought one. I should’ve used 2 of them and wired them like you did. I have Garmin Stiker+4cv That should give me enough power.

Nice setup! How do you go about changing them? Just do one at a time?
