Dude dude …instead of filling ur video with nonsense talk u need to start by telling us the magnification power so that one decides to keep watching ur dodgy vid or move on..
All devices are rubbish, bullshit , bad product, bad designe… but… time to soldering?… fail XD
Intel radeon 😛
Lapsun 14MP USB microscope kit. is this any good?
I plug my EOS 60D into my monitor and put it on a tripod and it’s perfect.
I like your knowledge and videos, but I have a hard time listening to your squeaky voice, until I saw you you here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmpYQBg864M !!! You are CALM and your voice is pleasant to hear! Can you possibly CHANGE your voice to the video, I mentioned above, so I can come and listen to what you have to say? I must honestly say that I did not expect you to be so much more "stable" and calm! I promise that I’ll watch every video, if you can have it done like in the mentioned video! Have a great day!
Where can I get that awesome ruler?
Those folks complaining about the "Intel Radeon Graphics" and now we have Intel vega graphics…
Yeah, 240 Bucks 2 Years ago – today the price is USD 279,-, 30% off from 399,- so they say. Anyway – i want one…
But eye can’t see more than 25 or so frames per second, DUH. BTW consoles rule!
In 2017, is this still the best USB real time microscope available for the money? Like Dave states, eBay is full of that cheap $50 ones. I had one of those at work and it was to sluggish to use but that was 3-5 years ago. 30 fps sounds great without a supercomputer attached.
8:37 and 11:13 start of actual device capture.
Product in india praise
Intel Radeon ? Ha what ??
The limited FPS in full HD is most likely due to the video format chosen by the application.
The LifeCam has the ability to deliver MJPEG compressed "video" stream allowing full framerate at full HD, but the windows drivers and libraries may no longer expose that so app runs video uncompressed.

Dave, I know this is an older video and maybe you revisited this, but… I’ve found that if you either modify the base to add weight or use a bench clamp then rotate the arm around 180deg to the back you gain significant stability improvement.
@EEVblog you do great video, however, you are truly out of touch with people with low budgets. 250.00 for many who are just attempting to learn is just not in the ballpark for a person doing this as a hobby with a low budget! I have one of those microscopes that you think are garbage and it seems to work very well for my needs. Would I like a 250.00 scope? Sure and if you are willing to buy one for all of us who can’t buy one for themselves I’ll be in the front of the line.
A real good test is doing SMT work on a board. The small one you about tossed out is an inexpensive model, albeit limited. Thank you 🤓
http://ali.pub/9mhue This microscope is very good. The focal length of 10cm – 20cm. Connect can be a LCD TV, monitor or computer.
If you have excess solder on your board or if you just want to make it look nice, run some solder wick over the pins. It will also take care of solder bridges, including the ones hidden under the chip, and make it look nice. Good for passing QA inspection. I have fixed more than a few boards using this method.
Heigch Pee laptop
Can someone tell me the spec of that lens used in that diyinhk
That looks like Microsoft webcam head on a base with a stick.
Hey dave, wondering if you’ve seen the new Andonstar ADSM201. It’s fairly new and seems to be a better alternative to both of the ones mentioned in your video. And its cheaper.
Tagarno is good
Diyink is shit
damn.. even today that Tagarno is sexy !
Oh no, you didn’t buy a ‘wanky’ HP did you? Oh dear…
Why you didn’t look into Monitor when you were soldering? Is the reason PICTURE DELAY ? the big problem of digital microscopes?
Please I have the camera and I want the software to move it (up-down)
279buck …man for this price, you make your own homemade usb microscope with a old kit lens..
seriously !!!
the lens from your great mother’shttp://www.collection-appareils.fr/x/html/appareil-13205-Minolta_Autopak%20460%20TX.html
+a old low cost webcam (usb2, 2000-2005)
+a desk lamp for the support
and you have the same zoom rate
Can you use this for accurate 2D measurements? Optics have to be flat.
1:00 the eBay one… I just bought one… you’re right, garbage! LOL
Could see an use for scanning documents…..
hi i was looking at the price for this item and it cost more than 499 dollars on eBay now? why ? were did u get it for 250?
The newer Andonstar ADSM201 is discounted for $140. Have you had a chance to look at this one? Other reviews seem to think it’s at least decent.

"Full haitch dee". Haha.
When is the video about the computer for the Taganrog coming
It’s crap ! And too expensive !
Price in india
Three years later $280. Might be worth it though.
bought the camera on Ebay for 50$ and ordered the lens and stand from diyhk and it is exactly as you detailed in your video, i use the Microsoft lifecame software, it gave me the best image
I recently bought China ELP USB camera board they said 1080p, but I found RealTek RTS5821 on it. It support 720p only.
Please care China cheap fake cameras. ELP is one.
One of my many jobs over time, was making ‘Door Bells’ (electric) Soldering All Components.. Please forgive me when i say, ‘What An Absolute Mess, A Bodge Job. Wrong Iron.! He Almost Joined two Boards Together. Or Am I Being A ‘Picky Critic.. You Decided.
Thanx. M~Dee’~"~
Did you know if you dont have solder wick you can use some of the copper braiding as used in coax 75ohm wire just strip It out and flatten dip in solder flux and you got solder wick cheaper as well as you can strip old Ariel cable 😀
Garbage too🤷♂️
Haytche Dee? 🙂
I had one of those laptops, the 6670m always gave me grief, some graphics stuff just would not run right, tried updates on it but ended up selling the laptop, horrible graphics built in.
cupped soldering tip?
solder skills like a fool
