Electrical Wire Connectors 101 (Electrical Wiring)

Electrical Wire Connectors 101 (Electrical Wiring)

Did you know that you can connect electrical wires together in many ways by using different type of connectors?

In this video I am showing you hot to connect electrical wires together in 101 different ways.

0:18 Simple twisting of electrical wires
1:26 Fast wire connector terminal block
2:48 Push on wire connector terminal
3:34 Twist on wire connector for junction box
4:45 Two way screw connectors
5:54 One way screw connector (40 amp)

Be careful when working with electricity!
High voltage can cause serious injuries, even death, so make sure the power source is disconnected before using such connectors on existing installation.

How do you use connectors when the wire is made of many strands of copper?

6:29 Screw connectors are by far the most handy and safest connectors. As far as I’m concerned wire nuts are for battery operated kids projects not for homes.
    Thanks for sharing. 😉👌🏻

Nice video. Informative. I’m new to the electrical world. Could you clarify the difference between connectors and terminals? I see the terms used interchangeably at times. Seems like terminals are types of connectors but not the other way around. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
