This really an awesome great video thanks for sharing. Lots of tips people didn’t know.

I just got the 2021 model, and I was wondering. When parking, is there no sensor for the front when you get close to like walls and stuff ?

  3. Mike Hedrick on October 31, 2021 at 8:14 am

Peter, I did not realize those settings were there. I especially like the close up and the camera enabled with the pull forward feature. Nice to have those additional features. I’m going to try those out with my Kia.

Love Your Teaching Us This I Am Going To Tell My Brother To Do This, Can Not See Good On His Camera When Backing Up.

  5. EV-olution on October 31, 2021 at 8:15 am

This is a great video and all of the features you mention are things I complained about being missing in my 2019 Niro EV backup camera, especially the ability to stay on when in another gear. This is actually something I had mentioned in one of my older videos. It’s nice to see that Kia has improved the settings.

Cant seem to find these settings on the 2021 Sedona LX. Does this apply to that model?

  7. William Hsu on October 31, 2021 at 8:18 am

We just got a ’21 Sorrento Hybrid, and when we reverse there is a very loud external beep/chime tone (I assume to warn pedestrians), is there a way to turn it down/off?

Hi I have a 2012 Kia Sorento SX & have been experiencing Navigation issues as the navigation GPS doesn’t recognize vehicle location. It does recognize vehicle movement but no accuracy due too wrong "HOME" position. According to the manual if GPS is active it should display GPS active or if inactive it should display GPS inactive. I don’t see either one on the display Nav. Map?

  9. Mark Cornwall on October 31, 2021 at 8:21 am

Didnt know about that, thanks Peter.

  10. iClone Animations on October 31, 2021 at 8:21 am

Instead of Center, maybe they should’ve labeled the button "reset."

  11. Nita on October 31, 2021 at 8:23 am

I can’t find where to turn the volume down on reverse.. mine is so loud

Hi. These classes are extremely informative. Is there a way that we get the front camera view on the screen like we can view the back one please?

  13. Le Roy on October 31, 2021 at 8:24 am

Views have been so good this week Peter! Keep up the great work.

I’m very confused for example at 1:46 the yellow lines are there but towards the red section on the bottom part of the representation why are there these curved edges of the car that you can see. Why does the curved edges go past the yellow representation thing ?? How do you know if your not going to hit something.

Best class I ever attended. And I didn’t fall asleep. Keep these classes going. There’s always something new to discover.

  20. Rob Bilton on October 31, 2021 at 8:34 am

I checked and my 2019 Niro doesn’t have them. Shame, the camera staying on was a good idea.

  21. S. L. Nicholson on October 31, 2021 at 8:34 am

    Very cool.

  22. J G on October 31, 2021 at 8:36 am

    When is uvo 2 available?

  30. Lysandra Walker on October 31, 2021 at 8:50 am

    I am enjoying these tutorials!
Do these “tricks” work for any KIA with a backup camera? Or just the newer vehicles? Our household owns 2: 2013 & 2014

  31. TeoTonio Bass on October 31, 2021 at 8:50 am

My 2021 soul doesn’t have the button to change the camera view 😥

  32. BlazinNSoul on October 31, 2021 at 8:50 am

You should do one on the K5 GT-Line EX or GT. There’s a lot of confusion on that one. Even some dealerships don’t seem to know the product they have.

For instance the all-wheel drive is only available on the GT-Line. Your sacrificing a lot of trim & safety options for it though, well sorta. Might be more of a trade-off then people are willing to go with.

I personally like the styling of the GT-Line a little better. But wonder what you’re really gaining from that line other then AWD really? Great series here though!! 🙂

  33. Roman Melnyk on October 31, 2021 at 8:50 am

Funny, I have a 2020 Kia Niro EV and that feature to show directly behind the car is missing. Is this only on specific years?

  34. NRSchannel on October 31, 2021 at 8:51 am

would love to see for 8 inches displays with 360 view

  35. Teppo Man on October 31, 2021 at 8:53 am

Can you turn those lines off?

  36. Joe Knowz on October 31, 2021 at 8:54 am

    I now what I’m doing tomorrow……

  37. Louis on October 31, 2021 at 8:54 am

Extending the time the camera is active is a great idea. I’ll definitely being turning on for use in the tiny parking lots over here in the UK.

  38. Bill Benstead on October 31, 2021 at 8:54 am

I can find the settings icon in reverse to adjust contrast etc but tapping the screen doesn’t bring up the icon to look directly down. Mine is a UK Eniro 4+ les than 6 months old. Is there a knack of where to tap or a setting I’m missing.?

  39. Kay Kay on October 31, 2021 at 8:55 am

Is this possible on the Kia Proceed GT 2020?

  40. Wobby1 on October 31, 2021 at 8:55 am

    👍🙏

  41. Armando Urso on October 31, 2021 at 8:55 am

Love the new intro picture with the new logo.

  42. Bill Jordan on October 31, 2021 at 8:56 am

Thanks for the great tips. My 2021 Seltos does not have the option to zoom the back-up camera, but it does have the ‘extend rear camera use’ option, which I find quite useful. However, to access it, after touching ‘Display’ in the setup menu, I had to hit the ‘Advanced Options’ button.

  43. Nita on October 31, 2021 at 8:57 am

Back to the dealership o guess

  44. Christopher Lowery on October 31, 2021 at 8:58 am

My new Kia was driving me nuts with the backup camera not turning off when I shift to drive and having to park the car to get it to go off again. At least I know it’s not a factory defect now and how to turn it off; wasn’t even sure how it would be remotely useful, but your demonstration made it make more sense, so thanks for that as well.

I’ll probably turn it off though, not sure why it was on by default…probably someone messing with the settings during a test drive or something like that…

  45. Apoelistas Audi on October 31, 2021 at 9:01 am

Can you use drive rear view monitor (DRVM) app to take a shot of vehicle behind you?? Possibly using engineering mode to activate this possibility ??? If yes let me know how

  46. Mohamed Tahri on October 31, 2021 at 9:03 am

Is this working for a Kia ceed because it doesn’t work

  47. Dr. Doinkenberger on October 31, 2021 at 9:03 am

I would like to know why they installed a USB port that doesn´t work

  48. Richard Taylor on October 31, 2021 at 9:05 am

Thank you! I figured out how to use my camera in my 2021Sorento while in drive by extending the settings by watching this video.

  49. Rick on October 31, 2021 at 9:08 am

Thanks for the lecture Professor Pete, I can actually say I enjoyed Car Anatomy 101. When are you giving the finals?
