Hi, how come it is written as "ARC OUT" on sound bar and "ARC IN" on TV? Infact, sound is coming out from TV port and going into sound bar right? So, it should be written in other way?

Hello, I wanted to use Viera Link on my Panasonic 944 TV and Marantz SR7011 Receiver ARC, I’ve tried several times, but unfortunately it doesn’t work, there’s no sound (Atmos), what’s the reason?

Q? If my TV has eARC and my sound bar has ARC, will the signal get converted to eARC??

  6. ryan s on August 23, 2022 at 2:42 am

I hooked up brand new marantz amp to to new lg 83 inch oled using ark with a high speed hdmi cord but no display on the tv.

The best explanation so far on setting up a HDMI ARC port on a TV and soundbar. Even I understand it clearly.

  8. THEBOX ELECTRONICS on August 23, 2022 at 2:43 am

I will try these set up, it’s pretty straightforward and easy to understand.
But in my case, the connections are made but there is a loud buzzih noise coming out of the Connection while on "auto"
If i switch it up to "PCM" the comes out very very low
I am a lil bit frustrated with this.
I tried few other HDMI cables but it’s the same thing.

I have a huge problems setting up old but not used much Yamaha RX-A810 too LG 49sk7900 tv 4K from ARC 2 TV too ARC yamaha.. is just impossible it seems but it worked 2 times but then it just didnt connect, new special hdmi cables tried everything. Probably hardware problems

  10. Ahmed A on August 23, 2022 at 2:45 am

Thank you for the video. I am suspecting that my LG tv is too old (8+ years)… is that possible? The HDMI port is labelled with ARC. I ensured that the cable is working. I used BT to confirm that speakers are working. I confirmed the TV settings. I’m out of ideas. Your help would be much appreciated.

My TV doesn’t support Dolby Audio. I have plugged in a Firestick in my tv and using a Dolby home theater but I am not getting Dolby surround sound using HDMI ARC (Same as shown in the video above)

  21. Ryan B on August 23, 2022 at 3:03 am

Is it normal to have volume increase delay? Not lip syncing issue , I Mean when i press the volume up 3-4 times it will take like 5 seconds or so for the numbers to change to reflect the volume going up. If I switch back to TV speakers the volume change is instant.

Thanks man, been trying for a few hours. With you tutorial it took 20sec to fix. It was changing the t.v settings to accept the optical cable that was holding us back.

  31. Joseph Barone on August 23, 2022 at 3:14 am

Do you have a video TV without Arc or CRC. The optical cable won’t fit onto the tv optical connection.

  32. Jenkins Jack on August 23, 2022 at 3:15 am

Will it work if I plug hdmi via laptop of the non arc HDMI?

  33. C O.B. on August 23, 2022 at 3:15 am

Wow! I was trying to get sound via our QLed Arc to our Klipsch Fives for hours before I found your video while searching for a solution. Your instructions were spot on and the sound is phenomenal now. Added bonus is we can control everything with a single remote. Thank you for posting this great tutorial!

Just taking a shot here. I can get my sound bar to work with streaming video, but when I want to watch broadcast TVIi just get a static sound. Do you know what this could be caused by?

  35. Mario Gambrelli on August 23, 2022 at 3:16 am

Hi, thanks for the video! Now, if instead of a soundbar, I have an old fashioned amp and speakers, how could I power it up automatically when switching TV ON/OFF, please?

  37. Jessy Walz on August 23, 2022 at 3:18 am

My tv doesn’t have the ARC, or CEC function in the settings. Its a 2021 model and I can’t believe I can’t even connect a damn sound bar to it

  38. FiendishThingy on August 23, 2022 at 3:19 am

I have a 2014 TV with HDMI 1 and 2. There is no HDMI ARC. I need to buy a replacement sound bar, but the current ones that have HDMI require HDMI ARC. Is there any way to adapt my non-ARC TV to be able to use the ARC on a new sound bar? Or do I have to get rid of a perfectly good TV? I want the HDMI (ARC) connection so I can continue to use my ROKU remote to control everything (not have to use the sound bar remote AND TV remote). Anyone have any ideas?

  39. Meri Tolbert on August 23, 2022 at 3:19 am

Hello, I have a Samsung smart TV, Klipsch cinema speakers, and an Onkyo amplifier that does not have the Arc. Is there a workaround to connecting the TV and the Cinema speakers?

  40. David Johnson on August 23, 2022 at 3:20 am

I connected my new Vizio sound bar to my Vizio tv using the ARC ports, and set up the TV as you demonstrated, selecting the ARC port on the sound bar. The sound is great, but randomly, it will drop out and revert back to the TV speakers momentarily, then switch back to the sound bar while leaving the TV speakers on. It’s been quite frustrating! I had to switch to using the TV’s optical output and the optical input on the sound bar for the sound to be uninterrupted, but it’s not as good. Have I missed something?

  41. Steve Coates on August 23, 2022 at 3:21 am

Thankyou for this. Im new to all this and its very helpful. One question…if you have an optic cable connected to a soundbar for tv sound and you connect your AV reciever to the ARC on your tv, will the sound still go to your sound bar if the reciever is switched on?

  42. Ramesh Nair on August 23, 2022 at 3:21 am

I have a hdmi (sound out ) is both hdmi arc and sound out same?

Hi appreciate your video! I have 2 questions if you don’t mind! I’ll list them below:

    1. How come the sound effects and big boom sounds immediately lower the volume of the dialogue? It’s very annoying, can I fix it in settings? All the talking just drops in volume the second there’s any sound effect.

    2. What should my vizio audio setting be? Don’t know what to do for surround sound, volume leveling, digital audio out and analog audio out. Thanks so much!!

  46. IMaximusDMI on August 23, 2022 at 3:27 am

I set all this stuff up correctly, switched over all the settings, and had it working but everytime I would turn off the devices it would stop working. I ended up just getting an optical cable and being done with it until they make a sound receiver that supports 4k 120hz.

  47. Terri R on August 23, 2022 at 3:27 am

What if my TV doesn’t have an ARC port? Is there an adapter?

  48. Viaivory 83 on August 23, 2022 at 3:29 am

    Thank you so much!)

  49. Chris Watts on August 23, 2022 at 3:29 am

At last……have been reading all about sounders BUT you have been the only folk who have taken the proper way to sort this all out.
I have had an expensive soundbar for a week now and have not been able to use it.
not one person has explained how to get the sound from the tv.
toy folk deserve a high mention and all the accolades going
    thanks very much

Thank you!!! I have owned my sound bar since christmas and I had it running through the optical cable, I recently moved and decided to try the ARC feature again, and looked up this video and it works!! So awesome.
