    My personal laptop is a Chromebook and the new work laptop I just received runs on Windows. I have 2 external monitors, one Logitech mouse & keyboard set, and docking stations for each laptop. Would something like this work for me? Right now I have it set up so that one monitor works for each laptop but the problem is the mouse & keyboard will only work on one at a time. Hellllllllpp!!! LOL

    Hi im currently having a desktop with two samsung monitors and m1 macbook air for my school work. At home, I will do my work on my desktop but sometimes I need to continue work from school using my macbook air and want to use the two monitors for my mac. But as u can guess, the two cables are directly connected to the desktop using hdmi cables. So only way I can use the monitors for my macbook is plug out one of the hdmi cable from the desktop and connect it to my macbook using the usb hub – and worse m1 doesn’t support two external monitors.
    In such case, can I do the same with ur products? In the video I see it’s dell laptop. For my macbook air, to connect usb cable, I will use USB hub. Also, from other plugable video on connecting two external monitors for m1 macbook, the docking station allowed the two monitor connection.
    Pardon me for such a long and unorganised qn.
    Will ur products, docking station and usb switcher, work for my case?
    I want to switch two monitors smoothly for my desktop and m1 macbook air.

    Will the USB2-switch work with the 3900Z? I can’t find the USB3-Switch2

  8. Henrik Eijsink on March 24, 2022 at 5:58 pm

    Does this mean that all data for the two screens, mouse, and keyboard all go through one usb cabel from each pc? Is that even possible?

  9. Moy's on March 24, 2022 at 5:58 pm

    so this is incorrect because your dock is USB C and your switch is USB A which means we have to buy an additional USB C to USB A dongle. So frustrating

    My work Hp laptop is connected to all my peripherals via HP lightning doc. I can manually switch to my personal Mac mini by moving the lightning cable from the HP laptop to my Mac. Can I use the Plugable Sharing switch instead?

    I have two dell laptops both with USB-C Chargers. With a setup like this can both laptops be charged when it is not the selected device for monitor and peripherals, or would they need to have their own chargers plugged in as well?

    I have extreme gaming PC that I also work on like 3090 OC, 5950X, DSLR webcam, a lot of usb gadgets (I filled 10-14 USB ports in a usb hub that is connected to my computer) and Samsung G9 240hz display. My newest client didn’t any me to use my own computer so they gave me a laptop instead. I would like to use all my gear with their laptop but I don’t want a bottleneck when I play games. The monitor has pretty high res and also 240hz. Is there any solutions for this?

    Normally docks can also charge your laptop. In this case, does it still charge your laptop or do you need a separate charging cable for your laptop?

  25. Lucca Sangpur on March 24, 2022 at 6:17 pm

    Why does nobody realize, that nobody wants the ports on oposing sides of the switch. That’s just one more cable clutter monster on your desk…

    Hello, I have a Dell D3100 docking station which works with USB 3.0 for both of my laptops. Will the switch work with the docking station?

  40. Person One on March 24, 2022 at 6:33 pm

    I’VE ALREADY GOT A DOCK from another Brand (soz) – Will it work with that too? (Or, any/other/all docks?);
    Also, referring to the arranging of windows demonstrated in the video: What if the two computers one wanted to switch between were two desktops and not one desktop/one laptop – I understand the need to perform this potentially repetitive task when operating a laptop, however, if the two machines are desktops and therefor not “re-defaulting” to any built in display would the screen arrangements remain in the state as they were left? Or, would it be a giant pain in my A?;
    Also, when are docking stations likely to come bad-ass enough that they have the kvm switch built-in (do you reckon?)?
    Also, what Dylan Ortiz said. (I don’t know why this didn’t tag him)

    Great video!! I have Samsung G9 49" monitor which I have connected to my personal computer and work laptop. Everytime I want to use them, I have to unplug mouse and keyboard and plug them in different sources in order to operate them. Do you know how this switch would work with single monitor and 2 different sources + keyboard + mouse?
