this should be a simple GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar) system, and the main problem with that is the Conductivity of the wall or Magnetic Permeability
for example, if the wall contains conductive material like salt or metal and it’s a bit wet, the detection depth can be in mm!

I had imagined a BT or WiFI connection to the cell phone.. not a phone "watching" another device’s screen for movement.. which then apparently transmits TO A 2ND PHONE I DON’T OWN :O) However, YOU ROCK.

There was a motion detector about 40 years ago which used a doppler microwave pair of horn antennae on a small module for about $40. The problem with using it indoors as a burglar alarm was that the microwave radiation penetrated concrete walls and the postman arriving at the front door would trigger the device. Then the cheaper PIR detectors arrived on the market and became the norm.

This is weak. Our “government “ uses any reason to spy on political enemies and regular citizens because they can watch you from 150ft away in nice detail using infrared and combined wave technologies. It’s not science fiction or paranoia if it’s true. Ask Snowden, your smart TVs can tell the government exactly how many people are in your house and where they are. Bye bye privacy at home

  34. Michael Hayko on December 11, 2021 at 12:26 pm

No I didn’t like this video, to answer your question. The first device that’s really used as a stud finder, pipe, wire bundle, etc. So this guy wants to spy on somebody and know when they’re moving in their room; he buys that little stud finder gadget, downloads the motion detector app and of course he has to rent the room next to the person he surveilling, pretty expensive set up just to see a couple of red blotches across your screen. And nice little cheap before starting the video. You show a cell phone that appears to be actually looking into the next room, I must have blinked and missed that part in your video.

FYI just the other day I was looking at that high-tech stud finder on Amazon. The specs claim that it can see about 12" through a lath/ plaster wall, drywall, and even a cinder block wall.

  35. Chirantan S on December 11, 2021 at 12:27 pm

What about the other way around? How can you detect if someone if using these technologies to spy on you from the adjacent room?
