One of the interesting things I noticed right away in this video is the stickers/advertisements on the appliances. You would rarely/never see a washer or refrigerator covered with so many stickers and colorful advertisements in a US store – it would be considered "trashy" and cheap looking… the type of thing you might see in a very low-quality store. Typically in the US, you would see a paper showing its power consumption ratings, and maybe 2-3 stickers/sheets (at most) pointing out features. While I write this I have the video paused on the refrigerators and I don’t see a single one of the Japanese units with less than 12 different things plastered across each unit.

my washer takes 1h and 49min my dryer takes 1h 30min

  3. Lien Bijs on August 24, 2021 at 10:13 pm

My Bosch washing machine is doing also special programs and adjusting detergent and water automatically and also i can remotely start the programs with the home connect app. What I don’t like from Japanese washing machine is that it can wash only with cold water. That is not hygienic to me, I like to wash towels, sheets, socks and underwear hot.

  8. Olivier Revet on August 24, 2021 at 10:17 pm

I simply do not understand why no government goes to japan and says can we buy some of that to introduce it to our people ? The japanese could make a huge some off of that !!!

For me, the amount of colour stickers on the appliances is a surprise for me. Here in Europe every white goods store has quite blend stickers with the usual specifications on it

  11. cj meoow on August 24, 2021 at 10:22 pm

If you pay a lot of money, you get high end products. I’m sure the cheaper stuff that normal people buy wouldn’t do those things.

  12. LCama on August 24, 2021 at 10:23 pm

Wouldn’t be surprised if one of those appliances claims to cure depression too.

  13. Michael Shepherd on August 24, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Japanese appliances are sooooo expensive compared to American appliances.

  14. Krok Dok on August 24, 2021 at 10:27 pm

I bought a Sharp microwave/oven similar to the one in the video (an older model) ans it’s broke after 6 month. I called for receving a new one but they refused and send a technician, he juste recalibrated the scale and it broke one more time 6 month after. Since the guarranty is only 1 year (some product have only 6 month in Japan!), they refused to repared it…. All the fonction were totaly useless like the bread or the scale fonction that never worked correctly…

The ion fonctions on the washing machine are totaly useless… sell machine that use HOT WATER instead… My clothes allways stink transpiration after i wash it…I must wash my clothes with hot water by hand before using the washing machine all the time

The problem with those super high tech appliances is that they broke really easily… My parents have the same german made applicances since 30 years ago without any problems

After watching this video i kinda feel my appliances are ancient relics.

We have those mitsubishi fridges in Australia. I bought a similar one from the same series in May 2021 and i was told that they’ve had them for a long time. It’s a very pretty fridge with a glass front.

Before the internet I always looked forward to gadgets from Asia and US. With the current technology new features are spread way faster. What still surprises me is the amount of stickers and sings on the appliances and in the stores. So confusing.

Now if only they could protect their country with the most advanced military – then I would be astonished… Japan, continue providing us with great games, appliances and adult fantasies, and we will continue to provide you with an arsenal of the most bad ass military appliances we have on offer… What a partnership…..
