I know this is an unpopular opinion but you could just buy the AmazonBasics Mesh Desk Drawer Office Organizer for $10. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-DSN-03113-Mesh-Drawer-Organizer/dp/B07JJ7N2VN Then specifically get colored cables. So a Lightning cable would be white, a printer cable would be red (doesn’t have to be red), a USB cable would be black, a Micro USB cable would be green. And then get rid of duplicates. Then just use these https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-Reusable-Fastening-Organizing/dp/B001E1Y5O6 Would save a lot of time and wouldn’t cost too much more. Would look cleaner too imo.

What do I do when I have 10× that amount of cables and plugs and what nots my boyfriend loves to take things apart and put it back together plus he loves messing with a whole sort of different electronics, so I have a lot of the a duffle bag plus a rubber maid bin full but their always getting tangled and then their all over the place. I’ve tried tying them up but it always happens that the one he’s always looking for is at the bottom so we either have to take them all out which takes forever because even though I’ve tyied them all up their still tangled then when he finds the one he wants he doesn’t put them back but leaves them spilled all over the floor so then I’m stuck cleaning them up. I’ve done this so much I’ve threaten the next time I’m throwing them away. I know he loves what he does and I really don’t want to throw them away but I’m about to if I can’t fix this problem. Any solutions cause I am going to start throwing them away if I can’t find a way to make this work it crazy. It’s like the duffle bag and bin threw up all over the floor spaghetti dinner. I’m losing it 🤪. Please help 🙏.

Damn it took forever to cut the pieces.

  30. Ken Fullman on December 21, 2020 at 10:45 pm

If only. This wouldn’t even scratch the surface of my problems. You have a very tiny selection of cables. I have at least 10 times that. Most of mine are also a lot bulkier (such as mains leads, scart leads, 30ft ethernet cables. It’s a mess 🙁
