I bought this keyboard but I was nervous of how the speakers would sound – I hate the generic "this really sounds like a keyboard" sound kind of sound you know.
It’s not bad! I like it. It plays great, the app gives a lot of extra functions – all around a really good keyboard. That doesn’t sound like a generic keyboard ifyouknowwhatimean

Undoubtely it’ a good instrument, but new Fp30x belong to another planet for quality of acoustic piano voices and other as church pipe voice, finally, filling a lack in the fp30. Than the quality of keyboard with escapement and Ivory feel keys gives a real grand piano experience.
Quality/price in it is excellent!!! 👍👍👌👌

  18. Deborah McConnell on September 16, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Great job. I bought one yesterday due to you. Haven’t played in 30 years and ready to relearn. Are we able to download or pair other songs besides the ones on the app?

  19. Franco Cutroneo on September 16, 2021 at 11:24 pm

What’s the piece she plays right at start?

  20. TechGat3keeper on September 16, 2021 at 11:26 pm

Nice presentation… good job. A lot of reviewer I’ve watched, they just played right away and test the sound. Not even demo or show how to use it. For this kind of keyboard/piano. Since this is entry level, it’s important to demo how to use it since majority of the viewers are newbies or at least looking for their first piano.

Anyway, I’m thorn between this.. vs Korg B2 vs Yamaha P45. Im a 40 yr old guy… trying to learn the piano the first time. It’s my frustration when I was a kid.. we cant afford it back then. Specially you need enroll formally coz youtube are not there yet to learn. hehe.

  27. Aadityakiran S on September 16, 2021 at 11:37 pm

Just played this at Costco. Keyboard feels far inferior to that of the Casio PXS1000 that I bought last year. Surprised, given the reviews. The Casio looks much classier, too. No comparison, really.

    agree

  31. Lux ter on September 16, 2021 at 11:44 pm

  32. Irvin Khan on September 16, 2021 at 11:45 pm

Anyone know when the FP-10 will be back in stock anywhere???

  33. K. S. on September 16, 2021 at 11:46 pm

I dont know why but the four grand piano sound on my fp10 doesn’t seem to have any difference

  34. Gautam Kumar Goswami on September 16, 2021 at 11:47 pm

One has to learn a lot, play a lot in order to create beautiful sounds like the lady is playing. Otherwise one can spend a lot on much costlier instruments but there will not be ear soothing performance! In gist we can create heavenly sounds from Rokand FP-10 if we know how to, that is!
Oh yes, I want to thank the gentle lady for her really nice & wonderful FP-10 presentation & her encouraging demonstration made me order one FP-10 today! Thanks Madam! Thanks Roland!

  35. Isabel B. on September 16, 2021 at 11:47 pm

Just bought this yesterday since I wanted an upgrade from my beginners Yamaha keyboard. I absolutely love it, mostly for the sound and that I can play pianoforte (soft/loud) and that it connects to the Roland app. Was very easy to connect. Costco has a $100 off deal right now. Only problem was that the day the coupon was active the keyboard sold out in my local Costco. I drove over an hour to another one which was also sold out and thankfully got it at the 3rd location. So if you want one at the Costco $499 price, you have to hurry.

Im choosing between this and the Yamaha P45. This sounds good but I’m just wondering how the actual built-in speakers really sounds. The P45 speakers sounded well but the store doesnt have fp10 in stock atm.

    Excellent review! Thank you.

  38. demofactory on September 16, 2021 at 11:52 pm

Sounds great, but I have $25,000 in older gear that won’t communicate with the FP-10, since Roland and Yamaha don’t seem to think we need five pin MIDI connections anymore. Yamaha, Roland and other manufactures miss the point on this. You can connect 5 pin MIDI jacks to a computer. People have done this since before the days of USB. Nowadays, a simple $15 USB adaptor will get any gear that has 5 pin connections connected to a computer. However, USB only ignores and rejects(that’s how I feel) 35 years worth of industry favorite gear. My MPC sequencer and Roland Jupiter synth are each worth a lot more than your piano. Which one do you think I’m gonna choose every time. Not the FP-10. Get a clue Roland and Yamaha!!!!!

    stand shakes a lot

  40. Catcher in the Rye on September 16, 2021 at 11:55 pm

I like FP-10 much more in comparison to P-45, it mimics inner vibrations that would occur in real acustic piano.
