I had to give this one a shot because I like this style of game. It has a bit of a mixed reputation with some liking it but also many who don’t. And while it has some issues, I couldn’t deny that I was having a lot of fun playing this game and wanted to come back to it. It definitely one that people should try for themselves. I’m glad I did. The SNES is a weird system for me because a lot of the "best" games you hear about don’t do anything for me, so I have to dig deeper for things like this.
This game should have been realeased for NES/FAMICON not for SNES I loved Mazinger Z but the graphics of this game are too basic for SNES and the Control is not very good, Mazinsaga for Sega Genesis is a better game
The entire object and level design of this game is abysmal. How tall is Mazinger? Is it as big as a building? Or as small as a human, or smaller?
Because entire cave system where a massive Robot can fit in, and even battles hundreds of other robots sounds not legit…
I know, I know, its a game, and a lazy old-school manga/anime from an entirely different era. Keep the nostalgia goggles.

Hi. I love Mazinger Z but it’s shmup version is extremely hard in the sense that it’s unfair (no way to dodge in most cases). It’s not as fair but extremely challenging as Bug Princess.
