Using social media.. watching others succeed in their life, while you ruin yours..
Is a thing you’ll realize after missing the chances to reach your dream.
It’s never too late, start working NOW & watch yourself achieve and succeed.

  18. Hot Potato on November 17, 2022 at 7:15 am

EVERYBODY knows that it’s not healthy or good to much that mich on the phone but most people keep doing it, it’s getting that far that I start being digusted by people watching videos or listening to music with (or even without) headphones and when I take out my phone I feel like Im like them when I sit in the train or bus so that kinda pushes me to not use it anymore or at least not for useless stuff like scrolling on any social media, by the way I don’t have any me fb, insta,… Actually , I don’t want to sound like a pessimist or negative person but I start to really get more and more disgusted by humans, it feels like they kept getting more political correct, hysteric, digital-addicted , undiscret (listening to music without headphones)…Hoe to change this?well start by yourself because there are mostly only benefits by getting a healthy moderate digital consum.

i’m currently having a mental breakdown watching this at 6am….without sleep. i’m on it i would assume maybe the most 18 hours a day, the least 12 hours. i go to bed earliest 4 am latest 7 am. this is my 5th night in a row going to bed at 5 am. i regret it all. i wasted my entire middle school years. it’s scarring family relationships. i hate having this happen but it’s such a strong addiction i can’t stop it. i wanna tell my parents but i can’t. i may be comfortable telling my dad, but not comfortable telling my mom. she’ll just yell at me.

  31. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky on November 17, 2022 at 7:32 am

The moment I saw my screen time say "14 hrs 23 min", that was the final straw for me. I have so so so many things I want to achieve. I know my problem. When I’m scrolling through YouTube shorts, I’m dreading every second of it, but I can’t find the strength to stop. I drive to become a professional pianist and music teacher. My username is Tchaikovsky for gods sake. But I need to practice. I realize I just watched YouTube for 3 hours. You know how much progress I could’ve made on the Chopin I’m working on? I could’ve learned a page or 2. But instead I scrolled mindlessly through videos. What am I doing with my life?
Thank you so much. I needed this. This is my breaking point.

  32. KingDante on November 17, 2022 at 7:33 am

Got my 2nd class petty officer exam in a month. Gave up most of social media (minus YouTube that’s next) and games I realized I’ve used my phone and other things as a distraction but now it’s time to use the self control I was taught. Hopefully I make it wish me luck 🙏🏽

I call it “smartphone paralysis”, when you’re stuck scrolling endlessly, waiting for notifications, or the post you want to see. You feel like you can’t escape it. One more post, one more video, one more tweet. It never ends.
Keeping connected with the world isn’t a bad thing with moderation and limits. But when you become an empty husk of yourself just waiting for something to happen, the next hit from the social media bong, then you need to reevaluate your relationship with social media.

  45. CHARLES HURST REINVENTION on November 17, 2022 at 7:52 am

There is something that will impede your advancement as I told my own subscribers. Addiction to social media. Now social media can be a good thing for advertising your business, YT channel or the like. But having your entire existence based on it is not. First there is the unhealthy aspect of comparing yourself to other profiles which usually aren’t nearly as stellar in real life as they are on the front page. Then there is the aspect where your validation is being sought from people you rarely talk to in real life–if ever. Not to mention the constant quest of follows and likes also drops minute amounts of dopamine in your system literally physically making you addicted to social media. Which leads to later anxiety increase and depression. But also–if you are spending all your time on your iPhone then you aren’t advancing yourself. Think about how much more you could learn about stock trading if you cut social media 90% down? That’s my end point. It should be a very small part of your life not the center of it. Hope that helps someone out there—Charles

I have no doubt that mobile phones are addictive. however, the suggestion that "instead of checking your phones, strive for your dreams eight hours a day" is also unrealistic. The majority of the people couldn’t achieve this before cell phones. I think cell phone addiction has shown how afraid people are of being alone, on their mind. I think it’s pointless to say don’t become a cell phone addict without finding a solution to this. Because people are afraid of feeling lonely rather than not fulfilling their dreams.
