Some nice patches shown here. I’ve recently bought a g force (after watching this video) but i can’t find any patch exchange site online. Do you know of any?

  4. Rick Feith on June 18, 2021 at 12:10 am

"It kind of fell apart…I didn’t really know how to use it"

Its just a piece of gear with pushies and twisties, no smashing required there Terminator.

Can you do your patch with the ax3

Man this sounds amazing, so did the intellifex.Great fucking tones man. When is rack gear gonna make a comeback, i wanna see jmp 1 reissues and brand new rack effects units!!!

  8. A E on June 18, 2021 at 12:17 am

Man if I just casually bought a G-Force I’d be in so much trouble with my girlfriend

  9. Tony Vermeer on June 18, 2021 at 12:17 am

I have been a TCE guy for almost 20 years and they have been good to me. A few problems here and there but the factory service always fixed me up. I still run my old G-Major in my main live rig and have a G-Major2 in my backup rig. I have never considered replacing them and learning new tech until I discovered your channel. Now, it seems time to move on since I have you to help me setup my future Fractal unit.

    Cool video
Dave Murray of Iron Maiden uses a G Force?

  11. dmguitar on June 18, 2021 at 12:21 am

Amazing tones!! When a video with G-major? 😉

  12. Artificial Insolence on June 18, 2021 at 12:21 am

No matter what I’m googling for, I always find your videos covering it, lol.

i have it and will be mine forever

  15. Jumping Man on June 18, 2021 at 12:23 am

I had the pleasure of trying one directly from TC when they came out, for a month. To this day is one of my favourite pieces of kit, all these years gone by. Making a very long reverb rise one octave slowly is a very cool trick you can do with it.

  16. Ben Gordon on June 18, 2021 at 12:23 am

does the G force have analog mode like the old G- Major , should I switch to the G-force I paid $100 for my G-major years ago still works great never had any issues but has no auto wah , you know how to get a wah effect out of the first g- major with a midi pedal

  17. Wayne Y. on June 18, 2021 at 12:24 am

It has a nice intelligent pitch in it to

  18. Nikolaus Brocke on June 18, 2021 at 12:25 am

Great sounds with the G-Force. I bought two of them for my two classic rigs. When you use it in parallel mode your original sound will not be altered. Then you can enjoy the fantastic effects in the next 10 years without beeing worried of sound quality. It will not get any better (but different). I predict that some of us experienced guitarplayers will go back from modeler units to the analog/digital rack fx gear (guitar amps, tube poweramps). Everyone will build his second vintage guitar rig.

  19. Mark Arbus on June 18, 2021 at 12:25 am

    Hey, Leon.
Can you cut a video that runs through the reverb block?

  20. edthejester on June 18, 2021 at 12:26 am

For modulation in your delay I would try putting the delay in a branch of the signal path (making it part of a.side chain) and then to set mix level of the delay to 100% (making it all wet signal) and create the modulation by placing another effect after it such as a detuner, vibrato, chorus or whatever. Feed the output of the sidechain back into your main signal path or keep it in l or r channel only. You can then control wet/dry of your modulated delay by changing output level of the last effect in the sidechain.

  21. lyricbread on June 18, 2021 at 12:27 am

WTF? The display and menu look almost exactly like the previous monochrome Axe-FX displays.

  22. Kev Rochlin on June 18, 2021 at 12:30 am

Just picked up one of these off ebay too ! Very useful to see this video as a reference.. Super Cool … !! Cheers Sweeney !

  23. Daniel G on June 18, 2021 at 12:30 am

What’s with people bitching about the converters in gear? I’ve seen so many reviews of fantastic, popular gear run by top end professionals where joe random forum warrior swears that the converters suck tone and they’d never be caught dead using one because it sounds like a wet sock on top of their gear, etc. It’s like… really? world touring musicians use it and love it, but in your bedroom it can’t even pass a clean tone in bypass? its hilarious.

  24. Travis Profitt on June 18, 2021 at 12:31 am

Big question, I’m kinda new to rack effects… so, how would you switch your sounds live? Does it have a footswitch?

  25. Václav Kapsář on June 18, 2021 at 12:33 am

    🖐️😉👍👍👍🍀🍀🍀 👍techniqueeee😉

  26. Taco Conch on June 18, 2021 at 12:33 am

@6:40 Is that an ESP Horizon? I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before.

  27. The Oligoclonal Band on June 18, 2021 at 12:34 am

I had a similar setup like you: JMP-1, G-Major into a Engl Rackhead 850 – loved it and still do. I tried modeling stuff, but still the JMP-1 is the best in terms of responsiveness and how I can steer the tone with my playing. My G-Major starts to fell apart and I am looking for a replacement – maybe it wil be a G-Force…

  28. Santa Klaus Guitar on June 18, 2021 at 12:34 am

have this thing for almost 20 years now, great unit. Such a shame that TC dont give us an update

  29. Tomasz Nowak on June 18, 2021 at 12:34 am

I remember when it came out in 90s 🙂 it was a killer… and still holds up well!

  30. Axeman on June 18, 2021 at 12:35 am

How about a G-Major ll? I’ve been wanting to pick one of those up but it seems like they’ve had some shutting down issues so I want to get one at a good price. Haven’t seen any good reviews of it.

  31. Pralong Christophe on June 18, 2021 at 12:37 am

What’s that very nice Strat ? Is it yellowed white or graffiti yellow ?

  32. assafm76 on June 18, 2021 at 12:42 am

Hey Leon, great video, helped me decide to go out and find a G Force unit. Would love to see a video on how you hook up all your rack stuff for recording. Thanks and keep up 🙂

  33. Reformed0811 on June 18, 2021 at 12:44 am

I saw that listed but had no money. The old simpletons TC G-Sharp works ok for me and my skill level but the G-Force would open a world of possibilities. I’ve noticed people using older Fractal stuff now purely as their effects units in racks as I presume they are a lot more flexible and easy to program than older rack units with small screens?

  34. Peter Schaefer on June 18, 2021 at 12:47 am

Great little review Leon! In your opinion how does it compare to the first generation axfx?

  35. james bond CARLOS on June 18, 2021 at 12:49 am

killer man!!killer playing,i would like hear the g-force more sounds, but you modified, very good ears man, congrats, from charlie iglesias buenos aires argentina

  36. Serega on June 18, 2021 at 12:50 am

Got one of these today and was blown away with delay and sound quality-its amazing unit. Sounds awesome with my fender deluxe 4 amp.

  37. Wayne Y. on June 18, 2021 at 12:50 am

I think there’s one in the presets for the modulated delay I use one in my rack with the triaxis and the 90/90 Mesa power amp

  38. NudnikShpilkus on June 18, 2021 at 12:51 am

My Quadraverb2 back in the ’90s had blocks, "virtual cables", and a grid to place all your stuff in….

  39. Wayne Y. on June 18, 2021 at 12:54 am

Are you using the drive block

  40. Billie Schultz on June 18, 2021 at 12:58 am

Can you help me get this sound on my G-force? Kind of new to this gear. Thanks

  41. serge luga on June 18, 2021 at 12:58 am

GREAT SOUNDS and GREAT PLAYER !!!!!!!! congrats !!!!!!!!!!

  42. intothelightmm on June 18, 2021 at 12:58 am

Just saw this after your recent G-force demo. The question about Delay Modulation if you put Delay block and chorus block with in parallel by putting the Delay to 100% before the chorus block you should get a mod might have figured that out by now. Also try to get a G- Card for this uniti as it has updates…Keep up the awesome demos!!

  43. Alex Marini on June 18, 2021 at 1:01 am

I had the G-Force, sold it, and will never buy one again because nothing is better than analog. The way digital FX react to the amp is not the same as analog stuff. The sounds you get here in the video are exactly… what I don’t want anymore. And when you play Zakk Wylde, well you need a Yamaha, not a TC. And even Zakk is now playing analog pedals.

It tooks me years to realize analog FXs are huge way better quality. The main problem with analog is : you need a lot of space and connections instead of a 1U rack unit. My dream since the 90’s is to get analog racks. Best of both worlds. Racks are easy to use. Pedals sound at the top. Shame on the audio industry : the only way to play a good delay in a rack is to get the JHS PantherCub in the 500 API format !!! Anybody listing or what ???

    The truth is there
The one and only analog fX in a rack, but not the best of analog :

  44. Ben Gordon on June 18, 2021 at 1:03 am

The G-Force is one of the best effects processors for delay hands down super quiet you can shape the tone of the delay too match your your guitar without changing the signal from the guitar and super easy too operate , will sound just as good as any 3k one today for delay’s but most of all you can easily get these for $400 used no way you will find anything today at that price too match the rich delays of the g-force one of the most dependable solid units ever made I have had mine for years still sounds like new , now the G-major is way too noisy , no comparison to the rich effects of the G-Force BUY ONE TODAY .. if you want insanely great delays and a cheap price starving musicians cannot afford 3k for the axis 2

  45. Michael on June 18, 2021 at 1:04 am

@leontodd can you help? I’m still trying to figure out why the connections aren’t labeled "to loop send and to loop return". Please don’t laugh, im disabled and not savvy on electronics terms. The back of my Randall Thrasher has "send and series/parallel return" ive been afraid to even try hooking this g force up in fear of frying something.

  46. Billie Schultz on June 18, 2021 at 1:04 am

Is there a foot controller that you recommend?

  47. PanDaemonX on June 18, 2021 at 1:04 am

G force still sounds absolutely killer

  48. Alex Gentle on June 18, 2021 at 1:06 am

This is a great video. I got mine sort of second hand and always wondered why my effects especially chorus & flanger weren’t that good. So after watching this video i went in and hit the FACTORY RESET and mine finally sounds this good. really ticks me off it took me 10-15 years to figure out the guy before me must have mucked some stuff up – but at least now i’m back in gear!! Thanks mate.

  49. Em Burke on June 18, 2021 at 1:06 am

Forgive me I am new to this, but can I use this as a stand alone unit directly to a powered speaker and have vocal and guitar effects at the same time?

  50. Yngve Skarphedinsson on June 18, 2021 at 1:08 am

Nice setup! Can you explain how you setup your tc g force into your rig? I have the g force but need help… do l need to invest a power amp and which one? In my collection l have 5 heads and 4 quad boxes is there a way to use one of the heads as a poweramp?
