Great review
Looks like the big boys have finally included the features that custom van builders have used for several years!
Hi – Great video! I am finding it difficult to find the difference between the 2023 tranquility transit and the sanctuary transit? They look to be identical on the Thor website including the pics and are identical when I click compare.
11:00 – Ok, Fred really has me intrigued. The big question..
The lithium powers the fridge and microwave, but does it power the stovetop?
The video was very good, but the background music was such a distraction.
I really like the fact that its Ford Tansit and most of the layout But I do not the rear couch / bed set up. There is no room to store any outside camping equipment (chairs, table etc) or adventure gear. Campers this small are not made for hanging out inside for long periods of time. People buying these types of campers are adventure types with a lot of gear and the desire to be outside more than inside. I would buy one on the spot if it had a rear set up more like the Revel – batteries and such flush to the sides, higher up bed (who needs head space when sleeping), and maximum gear storage below. Thanks.
Thor’s website shows the Sprinter as the only option. The last thing I want is to be forwarded to a dealer salesperson who will try to get me a discussion of trying to get me to consider a Sprinter.
I like the size but i would do away with the cassette toilet because those things are nasty. We rented a trailer in 2020 and it had a cassette toilet and needless to say, I will never go near a cassette toilet ever again.
Can we program the van to start (to charge the batteries) if the battery gets below 30% charge? We have a pet who will occasionally be in the van alone and we would like to be sure the HVAC settings are always optimal.
Good video but I have a few corrections on the Ford Transit:
* The cross traffic assist warns you of traffic behind you when you’re backing up not in front of you.
* The park assist doesn’t help you find parking lots, but actually steers the vehicle for parallel parking and pull-in parking spaces.
* The round thing approximately 2" in diameter towards the back of the van is not another sensor but a magnet to hold the door open for when you unlock the door catch and swing the rear door back around against the van. But you wouldn’t want to do this with the bike rack on the door as the rack would hit the side of the van.
Great walk through and glad to finally have an official walk through. I’ve seen a couple of these at local dealers but the sales people are not very educated yet on what they are trying to sell. I’ve been waiting for the Ford version and if you make a few tweaks you’ll have my business and get me out of my truck camper. Induction stove, a little more storage in the garage area and an electric bed is what will get me to buy one…..you’re getting close. Thanks again and I’ll keep looking for those changes and any others that you make!
In the rear, that is not a sensor, it is a magnet to hold the door.
Good video but you missed the most important component of a comfortable camping trip and that is the bed! How easy is it to make, how big it is, how comfortable. Seriously!
How much does it cost
At $160k you have to ask why is this more than Class C which is larger with better storage all way around?
I believe Steve has had a drink or two. 🤣
Obviously this is a male review im female and sorry but lost interest. Im interested in the interior but not all the stuff about electrics…plus not much storage
Luv this vlog, very thoroughly explained. I’ve placed this camper van on my list as the top contender.
Very much enjoy your comprehensive summary videos. Thanks for taking time to produce and share.
An excellent job explaining 👍👍👍
Literally as the Mercedes moves from a 3.0L V6 to only offering a new 2.0L *as the only diesel option*.
Great video. We are really considering this model. Was there a reason (other than cost) that Thor went with the above counter propane? Dometic and I am sure other companies make drop ins with glass covers to maximize counter space when not cooking. Also, do you know what the counter material is?
I hope they have ford transit with pop up top version as Sequence 20J
Does it have automatic backing for your towing?
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Could you please let me know:
(1) if 2022 Tranquility 19PT also has cameras in front, sides and back?
(2) Is there a dealership in Texas who sell Thor Tranquility 19PT?
(3) Also, what is MPG for 19PT?
(4) Is fold bed electric or manual fold?
"…you’re gonna get stopped by TSA…" LOL!
that AC unit looks huge
Great presentation 👍
Any idea when this will be available in the 19L Layout on the Ford chassis? I agree with other commenters, that the propane cooktop should be eliminated.
Does the lithium system charge when the engine is running
Cassette toilet is NO GO for us. Love the van, not doing a cassette toilet.
Like the review. Is there a garage or storage option? Is there a non gas option for the stove? Can additional solar panels be added? Love the refrigerator up high!!!
Beautiful Van…been looking for a future purchase in about a year (maybe two). So far the Winny Ekko is in the top of the list but I’m really starting to consider a travel van instead. It’s just gonna be me using it so my only needs are sleeping area, shower/toilet, prep area with microwave, cook top and a little countertop space and I would love a comfy chair to chill in and watch tv at the end of the day.
I like the length of this and the lithium feature, that hand control and the refrigerator up high. This is very well set up for being so small. Is it possible to get flat burners, can’t think of what it’s called. Not crazy about having propane stove inside the van.
Would like to see a larger fridge / freezer and pivot wall (dry bath). Agree induction cooktop would be better, too.
Will you be making the L version on the Transit platform?
Good review. Ouch on the audio.
Presented to you by Fred Willard reincarnate. I’m already sold on this pitch. 👏
Can I have this one? someone please contact me
Looks amazing!
Does anyone know Who has the best price on this model ❤. My husband is disabled and I’m really excited about the possibility of being able to camp
A dream for sure.
Thank you for the review.
Sure would enjoy obtaining the keys.
Camping furniture is a big part of this life. Where do you put it? In fact, where do you put anything of size? You mentioned skiing. Where do you secure you skis so as to not endanger passengers? Like the AWD feature.
18m on ford transit would be the best.
Love it.
I like it! How much for the lithieum package camper van?
