Here is the list of the best affordable luxury appliance brands for 2022 in order from last to first:

9. JennAir
8. Fisher & Paykel
7. KitchenAid
6. Samsung
5. GE Profile
4. Beko
3. Bosch
2. SKS & LG Signature
1. Cafe Appliances

In this video you will learn the best Luxury Appliances Brands for 2022 based on features and availability. In the end you will know which of these brands may be right for you.

You can spend $4000 to $15,000 for affordable luxury appliances in several different finishes and features. Before you spend $30,000 on a luxury kitchen appliance package, check out these brands for less than half of that.

You can always combine certain luxury elements like a pro range in an affordable luxury package without blowing your budget. You have plenty of options. We always recommend starting with cooking or figure out what’s important to you and work from there.

In 2022, be feature loyal, not brand loyal. Brand loyalty will probably mean you cannot buy a complete kitchen in some of your favorite brands.. Availability is that poor. However, buying features, like a range with high output burners or a quiet dishwasher will open the possibilities of many brands.

You will need many options this year because most brands will have supply issues.

You may be brand loyal to Samsung or Bosch, for example, but end up buying Cafe, Beko or SKS packages with the same features.

Lastly, make sure you know who will be fixing your appliances before you buy them.

    Are Cafe Appliances dishwasher good?

Great video Steve. I chose JennAir when I outfitted my house and haven’t been disappointed. Reliability has been top notch. I’ve watched Samsung carefully and feel a bit perplexed why they haven’t focused on their service network. Reliability has been far less than stellar. I’m currently planning a remodel in a smaller unit and hoping to find a 24" induction range available in many countries outside the US but no luck so far. LG’s innovations have been interesting although they too have service network issues. Service can make or break a company. Hisense basically bought GE because of it’s service network. Again, your videos are informative, and nicely presented,

    It’s pronounced pie-kel, not pay-kel

I’m actually considering Fischer Paykel for my upcoming remodel project. I like that they have a 32inch counter depth fridge and a nice looking induction range.

So, I’ve noticed a slew of complaints about how bad KitchenAid is starting Fall 2017. I suspected they hired a new, crappy CEO who is destroying the company before pulling the chord on his golden parachute and abandoning ship before the recalls start coming in, Sure enough. They hired a new CEO in 2016. Buyer beware. Looks like the new asshole cut corners and now they’re falling apart worse than cheap shit. JennAir seems to have held on longer but the same starting late 2020.

Great video. How is Dacor appliances compare to Bosch?

In looking at Consumer Reports ratings of large appliances, luxury brands (the kind that advertise on PBS cooking shows) surprisingly tended to not score well. I don’t know if the craftsmanship doesn’t match the price, the features don’t match the price (bang for the buck), or some of them are more for “show” rather than performance.

Love my Fisher and Paykel appliances! I’m surprised more brands don’t offer dishdrawers. One drawer is perfect for one or two people. And when I have guests, I can fit more in the two drawers than a regular dishwasher.

Would pro style ranges like Bertazzoni or Z Line be considered affordable luxury or are they lower? I am wondering because the local appliance store near me considers Bertazzoni to in the same category as something like Jennair.

    Hi Steve
Purchased entire Thermidor kitchen in 2019 from Yale. Just ahead of the pandemic. So grateful. Never been happier.

I don’t understand…why is JennAir listed under the Luxury brand video and the Affordable Luxury brand video and the prices are amongst the highest of -any- brand?

I’m remodeling our kitchen and thinking of purchasing a 48” Monogram counter

Depth, panel ready refrigerator. What are your thoughts?

  15. iatsd on February 14, 2023 at 5:36 am

I wouldn’t touch KitchenAid or JennAir with a barge pole. I’ve seen them in hundreds of houses and they are nothing but trouble. I also wouldn’t touch F&P since they were bought by Haier. Once production left New Zealand and was moved to China, quality control has been absolute crap. Design is still done in New Zealand, so they innovate well, but it’s a lottery whether you’ll get something built to spec or not.

Which package can you get for the $4000 you mentioned?

  17. Jonathan Davidson on February 14, 2023 at 5:42 am

Do you have any opinion on Kucht pro ranges? I don’t see them mentioned much

  18. Lipzig Schweitzer on February 14, 2023 at 5:46 am

I’m looking at electric flat tops as my existing coil stove is starting to show its age functionally. I’m a pretty proficient home cook, and I want a reliable appliance not just in terms of day to day use, but also the precision in temperatures I set on stovetop and in the oven. I’d been leaning Samsung, but I’m seeing a lot of negative commentary here, and online, not a ton of folks, but with very consistent complaints. Any help on selecting something in that price range with fewer complaints?

What are your thoughts on Zline appliances

  20. Saima S on February 14, 2023 at 5:52 am

Thanks for this video. You mentioned Bosch as one of the top brands, how would Electrolux fair?

  21. BlackhawkPilot on February 14, 2023 at 5:55 am

I think Samsung is junk. Redid our kitchen with Samsung and had problems with every piece. Freezer shelf fit in the refrigerator and the touch screed is not backlit. Poor cleaning in the dishwasher. No backlight on the Microwave control panel. Poor burner temperature control and horrible self cleaning.

We’re considering panel ready refrigerator from Fisher Paykel. Your thoughts on the RS36A72J1 and RS36A80J1? Do you have any youtubes on panel-ready refrigerators ?

We had ordered our GE Profile set of appliances last summer for a full kitchen remodel. Delays in the appliances has pretty much matched delays in other materials for the remodel. At this point our appliances will all be available at the time our remodel finally gets underway. So it seems we managed the current availability issues for the project about as well as could be expected. Construction is projected to start in late February. Long wait, but we think it has worked out for us.
