I synced all core to 4.9 ghz on a i9 10900k and I tried applying a negative offset to base voltage at 0.025 and the computer won’t even boot into windows. I seem to not be able to undervolt my cpu at all

  29. Nelson Stack on June 16, 2022 at 11:14 pm

i want a hybrid gpu and a stock cooler cpu. because im old school as fawrk. lol

  31. GLEW on June 16, 2022 at 11:16 pm

I bought a 6900XT last year and even with a fresh install I had micro-stuttering if I tried to set any FPS cap, general stuttering in games and many of the options in the amd cp don’t actually work, fast forward to now and I got my hands on another one, all of the same issues are still there despite a completely new system with new fresh install of Windows.

AMD graphics drivers are complete and utter trash, I’m returning it and I won’t be going near an AMD GPU again anytime soon, the amount of people with extremely low standards or who are just plain shills in the AMD subreddit that claim the drivers are completly fine is amazing, AMD’s graphics drivers are NOT fine, they are still buggy, broken and just overall terrible, I mean, again, even options as basic as forcing vsync don’t actually work, enhanced sync doesn’t work, vrr with certain oled TV’s doesn’t work, the fan control doesn’t work, undervolting only seems to partially work, the driver seems to have a high chance of not recovering when testing out overclocks that turn out unstable so you need to restart PC by actually holding the power button etc, etc.

With a Nvidia card, stuff just works… the settings presented to you actually work, imagine that right? Games just work properly, undervolting and fan control with MSI Afterburner just works, games don’t stutter unless it’s actually an engine problem with the game itself, there’s no micro-stutter when capping the FPS, gsync tends to work better on freesync branded monitors than freesync itself on actual AMD hardware does etc.

  39. Neil on June 16, 2022 at 11:25 pm

So in the space of a few months, you’ve done like how many BIG/FAST/BUDGET build videos already?

  40. GamingLowSpecs on June 16, 2022 at 11:25 pm

    AMD sucks

  49. Speedy65 on June 16, 2022 at 11:36 pm

To be honest what intel and other CPU retailers don’t want you to know is that CPU’s haven’t come that far in the last 10 years yes they may be more power hungry and a little faster but an old i7 3820 and a x79 mobo is still a beast when it comes to gaming , lob a 1080 or better in the mix and it gets the job done for far less money from the secondhand market my advice would be skip 12th gen as just to power hungry and heat can be a problem especially with energy prices the way they are at the moment

  50. Mango mesh on June 16, 2022 at 11:36 pm

Just found the channel, so pleased to find a UK PC channel. I’m thinking of building a new PC, looking for something that is up to date and energy efficient.
