Welcome to my RTX 3090 Ti 2-way SLI “Part 2” video, where I get some help from EVGA to further explore what this extreme PC gaming hardware setup can do in an air-cooled setup, testing one of the only “games” that SLI helps: 3DMark Port Royal. How much farther can I climb up the leaderboard, and will the Intel Core i9 12900KS or the AMD Ryzen 5800X3D be the better CPU for the job?

    But, but, but…. a game…… some games??!!!!

  2. Tobi Won Kanogy on May 17, 2022 at 8:28 pm

    Speed. 🚗

  3. Robert Perry on May 17, 2022 at 8:28 pm

    try it with 4 3090’s

  4. Nathan Sturgeon on May 17, 2022 at 8:29 pm

    I mean if there’s a chance of water-cooling I would do that

  5. Shane Seward on May 17, 2022 at 8:32 pm

Yeah, part 3! Max it out like you’ve done before!

  6. reviewforthetube on May 17, 2022 at 8:32 pm

The 5800x3d is my favorite cpu as for now as I do purely gaming builds. Thing is an animal and still good enough everywhere else. But for the price if you weigh everything out the i9 12900k or kf or KS all beat it in most areas besides gaming. I was shocked to see the 5800x3d outperform an i9 12900k when using a 3090ti on both haha.

  7. Chris Jones on May 17, 2022 at 8:33 pm

Also, yeah, been balls hot the past couple days here in So Cal!

  8. Justin Brewster on May 17, 2022 at 8:36 pm

Paul just flexing with $8k (MSRP) of graphics cards sitting on his desk… 😀

  9. Nitrouspeed on May 17, 2022 at 8:38 pm

Give me 5 years & I’ll beat your score

Keep pushing! 😀 we want part 3!

  12. Chris Jones on May 17, 2022 at 8:46 pm

Legit been searching constantly for someone running 3090Ti’s in SLI and literally anything on the 12900KS! Both in one vid! Suck it Jay, Paul wins!!!! I still love you Jay lol!

  13. Nathan Perry on May 17, 2022 at 8:46 pm

So… If I understand this correctly, since almost nothing supports SLI anymore, this is a fantasy benchmark because the performance numbers would never exist in day-to-day gaming? Is that accurate? It’s like… having a Corvette but only ever being able to drive it at 60mph.

  14. Zetman on May 17, 2022 at 8:48 pm

2×3090 is overkill for any games released so far, and probably the entire ps5/xbox series x generation will ever push, even if pro consoles get announcet. but benchmark bragging rights eh? nt one game tested.

  15. J MacD on May 17, 2022 at 8:48 pm

    I dug around in Paul’s vids, I can’t find his previous 3090ti vids…

  16. Fausto Barrera on May 17, 2022 at 8:49 pm

for funsies run a few gaming benchmarks just to see what 5k+ of hardware gets you in terms of gaming performance, vs a more reasonable setup. I run a single 3080ti and feel like I pretty much have all the performance I need for things like MSFS2020 in 4k. though I am running it on a i9 10980XE. maybe for the cost of 3090 ill get 12900k system lol

  17. Chris Mitchell on May 17, 2022 at 8:50 pm

You know, if you wanna contribute one of those extra RTXs to a good home, I promise it will be very well-treated.

  18. ZZstaff on May 17, 2022 at 8:54 pm

    Interesting video, thank you.

  19. Tudor Coman on May 17, 2022 at 8:57 pm

Take 1…good, take 2…better, take 3…better, take 4…better, holy dollars, go for it!
Last take because it should have an end in the finale…the best for now…to be continued! :))

    Good Job Paul!

  21. JAMFUTUBE on May 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm

Still baffled by the decision of AMD not to make a 6850. When you look at the lineup that nVidia has between the 6900 and 6950. There is now about a 20% performance gap, which could be filled with a 6850? Maybe they need to clear their 6900 stock first, or they don’t expect to clear it, before the 7000 series are launched.

  22. Nicolas Chapados Girard on May 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm

    Part two, yes.

  23. Nicolas Andrés on May 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm

daaaamn bro, thats why i cant find 3090 ti here hahaha

  24. Zero Fox Gavin on May 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm

I wish I could get EVGA to just send me over two of their top end GPU’s. Well done in building such great reputation and a channel that has been so successful!

  25. Brian Epstein on May 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm

"blahblahblah i have trouble getting my 2 3090’s to work…." *me on my 6600xt that i cant eat this month for buying* NEAT!

  26. FlawBawd on May 17, 2022 at 9:02 pm

I’d like to see you hit the top ten. You’re awesome.

  27. Shazz on May 17, 2022 at 9:02 pm

But what kind of frames you getting in Peppa Pig?

  28. Michael Driftwood on May 17, 2022 at 9:02 pm

Well that was a bit of a yawn fest. Real world performance would have been far more interesting. Could have at least included those results

  29. Xxtinction0o on May 17, 2022 at 9:02 pm

Ok… the suspense is killing me! Who won the monster?!

  31. Space Ghost on May 17, 2022 at 9:04 pm

    can u Do it with 2 6900 ?

  32. rottinjonny on May 17, 2022 at 9:04 pm

I wonder if custom RAM timings and subtimings can have an impact on Port Royal benchmarks. People investing in hardware at this level aren’t necessarily settling for XMP presets.

  33. Donut Farmer0 on May 17, 2022 at 9:06 pm

Interesting, would love a third video.

  34. Community College Genius on May 17, 2022 at 9:07 pm

I love EVGA, I waited on the waiting list for both my 30 series cards at MSRP!! and have used EVGA since the days of the AGP slot. I even got a couple of EVGA power supplies in the past. I have never tried the EVGA motherboard. I might do that next time.

  35. Nelson Stack on May 17, 2022 at 9:07 pm

sad it takes a monster like that to get decent frame rates on halo infinite pc. lol.

  36. Tdizzle on May 17, 2022 at 9:09 pm

This made me want to tinker with my RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. Stock test doing port royal stock was 11387 just adding +50 core boosted my store to 13978. Was able to add +60 to the core and 650 to the memory and ended with a 14145. Nearly 24% increase across the board not too shabby been playing games with that OC haven’t had any crashes so it seems stable so far.

    Great job Paul! 😀

  42. aeon1 flux on May 17, 2022 at 9:16 pm

I’m very proud of your benchmark. My guy for the record I just got a 3090 evga gpu. I upgraded from a suprimx rtx 3080 now I not good at overclocking at all and my fps in call of duty vanguard multi-player was greatly improved but my warzone fps was trash I think it’s a whole different ballpark just for warzone. I’m running a ryzen 5950x 32gigs g skill flare x 3800 mhz bdie ram my fps in warzone is 170 maybe 155 if I live stream big hit to performance. I’m only using one pc for all so I was told to just get a second pc that is pretty decent and I won’t see that big hit is that true or false.

  43. Edward Emanuel on May 17, 2022 at 9:17 pm

Why this is fantastic for the desktop tower for the computer but you need a monitor or a 8k TV.
