Even if there is no evidence, do we need these games?

  2. cocoa 2512 on October 1, 2022 at 4:55 am

I had to do a paper on this topic and I came to the same solution
    I however had different points
I had too many people play video games for it to be the only problem. Countries out sell us and aren’t that bad and the fact the most movies are worse with gore for it to only be video games

  3. Michelle Schu-blacka on October 1, 2022 at 4:56 am

I thought this video was going to say that violent video games actually are harmful.

  4. GeigerCounter on October 1, 2022 at 4:57 am

The alternative is literally robbing you…which doesn’t sound bad

  5. Neil Gregory on October 1, 2022 at 4:58 am

Dance revolution for 10 hours a day?! Now that’s a red flag right there! 🤣

  6. Myrkin on October 1, 2022 at 5:01 am

I wish the fps game they are playing here was a real video game.

  7. Elijah Canning on October 1, 2022 at 5:03 am

Easy to blame video games rather than talk about gun control.

  8. Allyson Chen on October 1, 2022 at 5:03 am

Ummm hasn’t violence existed way before video games came out. Like thousands of years of history with violence. Ummm idk wars? Usually people who have violent intentions usually show it how they start harming animals and just progress from there.

  9. Captain Wodie on October 1, 2022 at 5:04 am

Violence as play, FROM WHAT I’VE HEARD, second hand, so that this for the miniscule, literal, grain of salt, Violence as play actually reduces real life Violence

  10. TheLethal Artist on October 1, 2022 at 5:04 am

I myself am a video game advocate, and a big time gamer, and I 100% agree, video games aren’t to blame for problems, if anything, books can be a problem because there’s no warning as to the content in them. My all time favorite video game is Cyberpunk 2077, probably one of the most violent video I’ve played, and I’m not on the streets trying to murder people or bomb schools.

  11. Andromeda Lps on October 1, 2022 at 5:04 am

If anything, video games literally satisfy any violent urges i get and take the levels of anger I have down.

3:17 Why does he look lime the Senator from MGRR?

  13. High Tension Japanese Goblin on October 1, 2022 at 5:05 am

As someone who regularly plays Ultrakill…

Violent games don’t make violent people.
Violent people just REALLY like violent games.

  14. Tjalve on October 1, 2022 at 5:05 am

Meh. Why bother even playing violent video games if they don’t turn me into a homicidal psychopath?

  15. koalafiedmistake on October 1, 2022 at 5:10 am

Only thing I noticed with this video I don’t like is the gun homicide statistic for Japan

That is mainly because only 0.2% of the population actually *has* a gun, they are usually very strict and rare to acquire the requirements to own them

  16. The Happy Vulcan! on October 1, 2022 at 5:12 am

"Video games don’t make me want to kill people in real life. Real life makes me want to kill people in video games."

  17. Insert clever name here on October 1, 2022 at 5:14 am

To be fair, Bioshock is exclusively underwater and it deserved game of the year

  18. Glitched Games on October 1, 2022 at 5:14 am

This proves that Adam is both omniscient and omnipresent

  19. 6231 on October 1, 2022 at 5:15 am

you forgot, that some studies have shown that video games can have benefits

  20. Xandycane on October 1, 2022 at 5:16 am

I love how all the studies actually shows it’s the opposite. I know I’m super happy with the world after slaughtering creatures or people in games.

  21. Mario Velez on October 1, 2022 at 5:16 am

The correlation between dropping crime rates and increased video game playing doesn’t mean anything. Japan plays more games (most of which are not violent, and their crime rate is lower for different reasons. I don’t think those relationships were justified enough to explain how video games don’t cause violence. Also my psychology teacher explained that many studies have shown that violent video games lead to aggression. They don’t make you violent, it’s just that more aggressive people are more likely to play more aggressive video games

  22. Apple Bloom on October 1, 2022 at 5:18 am

DanceDance Revolution makes me ultra violent!!!

  23. Myrkin on October 1, 2022 at 5:20 am

They say playing video games makes you violent, well I’d say not having my video games is making me pretty fucking violent.

  24. Tommy lee Jones on October 1, 2022 at 5:24 am

Doom slayer is making kids racist by allowing them the chance of killing demons.

    *Karen’s the politician probably.*

  25. VodShod on October 1, 2022 at 5:28 am

here is a fact, if someone plays 15 hours worth of violent video games every day they are less likely to have the strength to carry an assault rifle into a school.

  26. jouneymanwizard on October 1, 2022 at 5:28 am

    "I don’t know. I’m still not convinced…"
"Well, let’s look at the facts!"

It’s cute that you think your facts will make a dent.

  27. Computer Star on October 1, 2022 at 5:31 am

I would rank video games as an indirect cause not direct

  28. Void Justice on October 1, 2022 at 5:33 am

thats because its nearly impossible to get a gun in japan

  29. Nico on October 1, 2022 at 5:34 am

They all blame it on video games!
How to be a video game researcher?

  30. springtrap 213 on October 1, 2022 at 5:35 am

Okay the Japanese gun violence being down 96 time’s then other country’s cause of video games is kinda true and what I mean by that is that Japan is stupidity strict When it comes to gun ownership you can only get one if your a cop and you have to pass like a bunch of exams to even get the chance of owning a gun

  31. Mark Browning on October 1, 2022 at 5:35 am

I’ve never been one to scapegoat a single cause for a whole societal problem, but video games absolutely influence behavior.
I can spend several hours playing Fallout or Skyrim(not exactly the top names in violent gaming) on a Sunday afternoon, and my temper will sneak up on me.
I can attest that it isn’t the acts of violence within these games, but rather the frustration of a tedious quest, a bad read on the map or compass, a game crash, or an ill timed death within the game that happened to fall on a save point so that every time you re enter the game, you immediately die again.
So yes, gaming can definetly affect our tempermants.
But also again, I don’t blame gaming for any world problems or social deconstruction.

Also, isn’t Joe Lieberman the guy who was sleeping with his mistress while his wife was dying of cancer in a hospital? Do I have the right guy?
If so, should he really be worrying himself with how gaming affects the violence in our youth?

  33. Mr Dave on October 1, 2022 at 5:37 am

i already know that violent games dont cause violence because ANIMAL CROSSING THE MOST BRUTAL GAME WHERE YOU PAY BELLS TO A MANIAC THAT CHARGES YOU 1000 DOLLARS FOR A CHAIR

  34. Demonicphil9 on October 1, 2022 at 5:38 am

I started chuckling when I found the kid who commited a mass shooting’s favorite game was DDR

  35. Dunedain on October 1, 2022 at 5:40 am

    Adam is ruined

  36. Can I get a sub on October 1, 2022 at 5:42 am

Yeah if anything video games help take out aggressive tendencies

  37. Marklar on October 1, 2022 at 5:44 am

3:55 Have you played Dance Dance Revolution? That thing is BRUTAL.

  38. John Games and Draws Channel on October 1, 2022 at 5:45 am

I mean you can’t commit many crimes while playing games

  39. ASUDom17 on October 1, 2022 at 5:46 am

I feel like it’s the opposite. Board games cause more violence and kill more friendships than video games. Have you ever played monopoly or uno?

  40. Paleodon on October 1, 2022 at 5:46 am

For some reason I’m thinking about animating an animation on Adam ruins everything vs Walter white for some reason

  41. Ruben Quiros on October 1, 2022 at 5:46 am

Oh my God! The dad is Ernie from the George Lopez show

  42. Lamont Cranston on October 1, 2022 at 5:48 am

There should be a game that tells school shooters how to get lots of guns and amo cheap. The game should teach school shooters how to really maximize their death points. It would be a perfectly safe game because we know these things have absolutely no effect on anybody.

  43. Jared Jams on October 1, 2022 at 5:48 am

Is the dad Ernie from George Lopez?

  44. A C M on October 1, 2022 at 5:48 am

I’ll start believing videogames lead to violence, after I see a mass-shooter tea-bagging his victims.

  45. Regő Hajas on October 1, 2022 at 5:48 am

3:18 bro looks like the senator

  46. Scott The smart ape on October 1, 2022 at 5:49 am

Violence may cause trauma and trauma may lead to violence

  47. Lamont Cranston on October 1, 2022 at 5:50 am

Computer game violence makes real life violence in the news more acceptable. People are less motivated to change their society when their view of it’s worst aspects is flavored with pleasure and easy rewards.

  48. Edins on October 1, 2022 at 5:50 am

What you mean adman ruins evrything?
