i like that the cameras looks like 3 eyes and smiley face with teeth XD

  2. Cerebral Coma on October 22, 2022 at 5:42 am

I believe that access to the battery will create an opposite reaction, people will change and exchange them more often than needed, actually creating more
waste, people have tendencies to change batteries when no needed, it’s better of having a technician to double check that to avoid unwanted excesive waste and over swapping batteries and not often recylcle…also, waiting for a replacement screen to arrive just takes longer and it’s incovenient for the customer that needs a screen right away…….the ideology doesn’t match the practice…IMO of course

  3. Nge Muyu on October 22, 2022 at 5:42 am

    Fingerprint scanner repairable

  4. Chris T. on October 22, 2022 at 5:44 am

For people that are not phone freaks and want to keep the phone for 3 years replacing the battery so easily is ideal

  5. Genuine Gamer on October 22, 2022 at 5:46 am

Repairphone is fair name for this example setting device. 👌👍

  6. Tavis Hurn on October 22, 2022 at 5:46 am

I like shiny things, but I wonder whether picking a Fairphone for my next upgrade will help me to leave the phone alone more, which has got to be good for general health.

  7. tolypolonty on October 22, 2022 at 5:47 am

This but it actually looks good would be crazy

  8. Fearless on October 22, 2022 at 5:49 am

I think most people want a flagship phone, replaceable battery, headphone jack and sd card slot.

  9. Young Suit on October 22, 2022 at 5:50 am

I really want to get this phone but I wish the camera was upgradeable. I wish the moto z line was still supported

  10. Henrique Magalhães on October 22, 2022 at 5:51 am

A fair review of a fairphone. Thanks

    Hey Apple 📣📣

  12. JJO117 on October 22, 2022 at 5:56 am

Wished more phones adopted this customizability.

  13. quietkid on October 22, 2022 at 5:58 am

nobodys talking about the thick chin?

  14. Hong Jin Andrew XIE on October 22, 2022 at 5:59 am

Oh the Fairphone 4 unfair display hardware and pricing huh? Its thickest Jurassic forehead top and bottom chin are the hottest sexiest focus cannot be unseen especially selling for £579 WOW… with this specs???

Screaming out loud an OEM item from casually put together in China. Sorry to say that this item will have the same ending just like the LG modular smartphone back in a few years ago

tbh for any so called sustainable phone if not built like Lego with absolute simplicity in mind, no one cares about modular it

  15. Iphone 14 Free Check About Page on October 22, 2022 at 6:02 am

I cant believe you can just get them like that.. Name says it all. it was really easy for me to get mine.

  16. nauxsi on October 22, 2022 at 6:02 am

If a few more manufacturers could add 1-2mm on their thickness and accomodate a removeable battery that would be sustainable.

  17. Raoul Luijten on October 22, 2022 at 6:03 am

I don´t think it´s impossible for fairphone to become the new Apple. At some moment in the future the best of the best dont want the highest salaries anymore, they will want to work for a company that is not contributing to the destruction of the planet and at that point, the only sustainable smartphone company will be fairphone. They do need to scale up more first to become a more fully fledged established company. Buying the phone is an investment in the alternative future where we don´t accumulate 5 obsolete phones in our bedroom drawers.

  18. modiX on October 22, 2022 at 6:03 am

Their security software update support is 5 years. Same goes to the new Pixel devices. I’d buy it, if they would double the security update support. I don’t mind not getting the latest and greatest features on the long run. I do mind to have to buy two new phones every decade, even when my old phone still technically works. Sustainability is something different.

  19. Roger Moreno on October 22, 2022 at 6:03 am

As a long time iPhone user I gotta say I really like the Fairphone and what it’s all about. Great idea, good specs and an overall solid package seems like. Pretty impressive 👍🏻

  20. GVK AWESOME on October 22, 2022 at 6:05 am

Still just a phone. I can use my screwdriver too, if I want to replace my battery or Circuit board, nothing special if I do say myself😂

  21. Zone07 on October 22, 2022 at 6:07 am

I have over 20 phones seating in drawers from a family of 5.

  22. Tafara Paul on October 22, 2022 at 6:07 am

We are gonna have a new category for the smartphone awards. The most sustainable phone category

  23. duskshel on October 22, 2022 at 6:07 am

If Apple made a car: "So, your transmission control module is going out? Don’t bother trying to repair it– the entire transmission is sealed. You might as well buy a new transmission. Oh, and while you’re at it, may you get your engine replaced, too? No pressure!"

  24. Christopher Michael. W. on October 22, 2022 at 6:09 am

The part that I would like to be able to easily replace the most is always the screen.

  25. ken Tries on October 22, 2022 at 6:11 am

We have to accept compromises. This is why they had to remove all of that

  26. David Yoder on October 22, 2022 at 6:13 am

This is the best review of the Fairphone I’ve seen. Nicely done.

  27. Shane DaMayne on October 22, 2022 at 6:13 am

    Looks identical to ov1

  28. Ryden Soko on October 22, 2022 at 6:14 am

Lately I’ve been using phones that are 2 to 4 years behind the current year. 1) It’s cheaper (if you don’t get a lemon) and 2) I just don’t have the need for the latest specs. I’ve outgrown mobile gaming. I’ve outgrown social media. I’ve outgrown consuming meaningless videos.

I’ve also been raised to take care of my electronics ever since I got a Gameboy Color when I was 5. So naturally, staying behind the trend of years devices and computing specs, I don’t replace anything that isn’t broken.

I’m using a Google Pixel 2 right now and I’ve taken good care of it and its checking all the boxes for my needs. It’s just unfortunate that its coming to the point where the battery has started to degrade and the screen on time isn’t as long as it used to be and will shut off around 5% when taking photos. So despite the externals showing minor scuffs around the usb C port or the camera rim, I’m gonna have to replace it soon for a phone with a healthier battery installed. But only because its not worth my time to go in and replace, nor pay someone to do it for me.

  29. Stephane Riot on October 22, 2022 at 6:14 am

I am SO happy with mine ☝️
Works perfectly and I keep talking about it when I flash it in parties 🍹🍸📱
So PROUD of you Fairphone 💓

My home pod Siri activated while listening to this videos

  31. meraak1 on October 22, 2022 at 6:18 am

would be great but there is no headphone jack and they sell expensive wireless (non repairable) earpods. There is also no charger in the box

  32. Junior Rivera on October 22, 2022 at 6:19 am

    And no 🎧 JACK 😔?

  33. Joshua Richardz on October 22, 2022 at 6:20 am

Hard to sell this phone when you pick it apart and tell everyone how bad everything is. Plus pull I bet you pulled that iPhone out of your pocket lmao 😂

  34. Nitin Singh on October 22, 2022 at 6:20 am

So the future phones are like past phones…. Noice! 🙂

  35. Niv Ron on October 22, 2022 at 6:21 am

Great phone with great goal behind it! BIG RESPECT @Fairphone

  36. Mike Regan on October 22, 2022 at 6:24 am

See, Tim… it CAN be done.

  37. T Bread on October 22, 2022 at 6:25 am

Literally didn’t have a section on sustainability in the very next review you posted

  38. Husker on October 22, 2022 at 6:26 am

Once phones inevitably reach their peak it will make a phone like this more valuable. A lot of people don’t want to repair their phone, they’d rather upgrade to the latest and greatest. Once the upgrades are no longer noticeable then the ability to easily replace the battery or broken parts will become much more valuable.

  39. Native2458 on October 22, 2022 at 6:26 am

We should go back to being able to take out the battery again.

  40. Angelita Li on October 22, 2022 at 6:31 am

Thank you so much for your review, I was looking for A…w…h….i…l….e…. for something like this one. Going to order one now!

  41. Natterforme on October 22, 2022 at 6:31 am

After 4 years my Samsung galaxy s9 plus is finally starting to show its age but the main problem is that the battery is not holding a charge. I am heavily considering this phone simply because it should be as easy as replacing a battery. I don’t want to take my phone in to a repair shop or send it in to Samsung just for a battery replacement.

  42. Human Being on October 22, 2022 at 6:34 am

I read/heard somewhere that when you deliberately build a system to break or be breakable, it becomes easier to fix and becomes even more durable.

  43. Alex Waugh on October 22, 2022 at 6:35 am

In general I love my FP4 and most of the compromises I can live with, but the camera is worse than my Pixel 2XL was 4 years ago. It’s terrible in low light and there is almost a 1s delay between hitting the shutter and the photo taking.

  44. Axel on October 22, 2022 at 6:36 am

    Not bad at all

  45. Hong Jin Andrew XIE on October 22, 2022 at 6:37 am

No matter how fancy your wordings are, £579 for this Jurassic display and odd enough shape? Reli??? NO NO and NO

    £79 maybe

  46. Filip on October 22, 2022 at 6:37 am

I only use my phone to call and text also to watch youtube and netfilx and i dont even use tik tok so this phone is actuly perfect if u ask me

  47. Ber A on October 22, 2022 at 6:38 am

is there going to be a review of the framework laptops?

  48. mbpeg7 on October 22, 2022 at 6:38 am

Are Fairphones available in Canda? I am techie challenged especially when it comes to buying a cell phone.

  49. Poopxpee18 on October 22, 2022 at 6:38 am

Most people have a USB-C charger lying around. The fairphone doesn’t need a charger with it to be sold!

  50. Nothing Media on October 22, 2022 at 6:40 am

It’s a cool phone but I would rather just buy a used iphone or samsung phone or something if I wanted sustainability.
