Good review however, I’ll stick with my Rode’s. IMO, that was a good purchase.🙂
Those funds where meant for coffee!!! 😂👍
Best option in this price range ?
Hi. Can’t find your review about the HiFiMan EF400 😳.
I agree with your stock pad assessment. Stock pads are small… for sure… and stock pads don’t have great isolation… and ya, I found 200mw+ good. Pad change made the bass the main focus haha. But ya, I think you’re spot on describing the stock pads for sure… mids were interesting, good for monitoring for flaws in a track, but pad change made them musical. OG pads I prefer NTH-100 for music, but pad swap they become fun haha
Hifiman he4xx/400i better Resolution and detail than supernova, the difference is very noticeable
Got the Supernova 2 months ago. Been enjoying it in bursts but the caveats are noticeable It’s like a closed-back SHP9500 that sounds a bit more natural though narrow and is less comfy. Ear pads are not that big making the set almost an on-ear. Cool accessories especially the 2 included cables. Would still prefer the SHP9500 overall.
A better comparison would have been against the Takstar Pro 82
I have been using the Supernova by a month and with the time the highs seem to have been lowered in presence a bit.
Some report that with denser earpads you can change the sound .
