After 1 year and 5 months, the TV stopped working different model but seems the operating google interface . I called the tech support for Hisense and since it only comes with a 1-year warranty, they can not do anything about it. The logo starts up but it will not load. I get a blinking red light for 60 seconds then it restarts. But never passes the Hisense logo. My research tells me it is the power board which I will attempt to change on my own.

Tip#1. Don’t buy a TV on Amazon in the US. because they will ship with UPS and your tv will show up looking like The Rock elbow smashed it off the top ropes.

I have a 15sq ft in the living room i baught a brand new samsung UHD 55" TV i thought it was going a bit nuts buying one at that size but over time i have realised its to small for the space, so i am going to buy a 65" sony. i would like to go up to 80" but i cant afford to spend £2000 for a TV.
when it comes to a TV always go for as big as you can afford but bear in mind the bigger the TV the better the picture has to be so avoid the cheaper models and go for a SONY or a SAMSUNG etc.

  17. Sanele Mwelase on August 26, 2022 at 3:07 am

Literally in the process to buy a tv to match the Apple 4K.
    My checklist has been
    1. Q or Oled
    2. 55inch is just right (size I wanted)
    3. HDR
    4. 4K at 120khz
    5. HDMI Arc or eArc
    6. Definitely not upgrading my old 6.2 HT system so the TV must have unsurpassed level of audio pass through via optical to maintain my 5.1 at least until Dolby atmos content is readily available.
I buy my matrix and this is the second tv I will be buying since 2010.

  18. John Robbo on August 26, 2022 at 3:09 am

At 18 I got a 60 inch Sony KD-X690E since it was the largest display ny Rent-A-Center had and was cleaner up close than the others. I love it even today. As a kid it was a Magnavox CRT up until 2024/2015 when I was given a 32 inch (I believe) TV from Walmart at 720p or so and then to the old living room which was bigger and bulkier and at 1080i and so I wanted it for the size, 1080p and 4K while HDR was extra. I wouldn’t replace it unless need be like it craps out and can’t be repaired so if I had to it would be another KD-X690E just because I like it for what it is and I’m not such of a snob when it comes to TV’s since anything better than what I have now is what drives me to another TV but sadly with how the progress is in to reducing pixels compared to what I have seen with this and a QLED, I see a similarity to both TV’s. When I say up close I mean my nose almost touching the display close to see the individual pixels either on objects or on the letters themselves.

After months of use, does the G1 already have significant burn-ins already? Can the LG – C1 go toe to toe with the G1?

  31. Split Rock on August 26, 2022 at 3:21 am

I just threw away my Hisense tv. It only lasted a year and few months. To get it repaired would be more than what I paid for it.

  32. LookHere3 on August 26, 2022 at 3:21 am

DO NOT get hisense or TCL. they use vidaa and android operating systems. TERRIBLE!! you get what you pay for. stick with samsung/LG they use Tizen and google OS

  33. Carsten Hansen on August 26, 2022 at 3:22 am

Is it the norm that a smart tv, does not get any older than 6 years, or is a it a exclusive sony problem?

  42. Kerri Powles on August 26, 2022 at 3:43 am

I’m thinking of upgrading to a 48" LG OLED48C14LB 4K HDR Smart OLED TV (any bigger and I would not have room for it) but I have been reading some reviews on Amazon that suggest there is a lot of advertising and notifications being constantly thrown at you which spoil the experience. Is there a way to disable these without disconnecting from wifi?

  43. Simon Pike on August 26, 2022 at 3:44 am

When is the best time to buy a tv? Answer: about five minutes after you realise your old TV has shuffled of its mortal coil

  46. Tafirenyika Mupfanochiya on August 26, 2022 at 3:45 am

Hi Tech Chap thanks for the good informative vid. I want to buy a new tv but has to be a Sony TV. Which Sony TV model will be good for movie, sports and gaming?

  47. Supreme Court on August 26, 2022 at 3:45 am

Oled is better than Qled but the chance to get burn in when you are a „hardcore player“ is actually pretty high

  48. Pål Valdar on August 26, 2022 at 3:46 am

Have a Philips 55" OLED, and I love it! The screen is fantastic, and the ambilight makes it even better.

  49. Anton456 on August 26, 2022 at 3:47 am

I have a 3 year old TCL 65R625. Paid $799 US dollars. It’s quantum dot screen is made by Samsung I’ve heard. Supports Dolby vision and HDR 10 as well as HLG etc. Besides some blooming around the HDR logo that appears for a very short time. This TV is great! My dad also bought one
