I have to say, even though you are fast, but you are more down to the point presenter. I like to ask some suggestions based on my explanation below. If you can help m with that i would appreciate it very much. So, thank you in advance. Me and wifey have 2 different laptops for 2 different purposes; She teach academic English on line (do to covid and her laptop doesn’t perform as well as it needs to be. So, from your input i am thinking of mcbook air but also wondering would it be better and cheaper to get imac because she already have laptop does most of the jobs well?
On the other hand i have very nice HP laptop but its about 8 years old and over heats when i play gams like knight online. So i am wondering should i get a desktop (both for price and performance) since my hp does most the works fine accept the specific gaming.
I know allot to ask but if you can help me to decide you would save me allot of trouble ahead

Hi bro, can you give some suggestions for 8gb 512gb, or 8gb 1tb configuration laptops. Any brand apart from Apple is ok. I am a casual user but looking for a good laptops which I can keep for at least next 5 to 6 years.
    If possible make a video.

  7. Taydream on July 28, 2021 at 9:07 pm

My dream laptop would be a 360, that I can edit videos on and play games on.

  8. Trev Cessna172 on July 28, 2021 at 9:07 pm

Surprised you didn’t talk about video editing with windows machines, just gaming. Also the best graphics cards for mid range (16 Gig ram) video editing, I don’t like the counter intuitive nature of Mac computers, my wife had one of the first Mac Books and it drove me nuts! Thanks.

What do u think of the Lenovo 5 gaming laptop top

  11. Reel Love on July 28, 2021 at 9:18 pm

Nice video. What I have learned is that before buying a new laptop, you first need to start with the intended use and your present software/applications. The cost of replacing software can exceed the cost of the laptop, so chose your operating system wisely. Second: A laptop for business is going to be configured differently than one for gaming, music, film editing, etc., or used as a tablet substitute. Third is number of ports. The Apple has only 2 USB "C" ports. That is a serious limitation if your laptop is going to be used as a workstation, or in an office where you need to connect to a wired LAN. Buying an Apple Air or one of these lightweight (thin) travel oriented laptops means that you are going to have to buy a USB-C hub or docking station.

    Your video hit the mark.

Did laptops just skip 1440p screens?
Edit: Oh I see. It exists but not common.

  20. Potter Sxl on July 28, 2021 at 9:27 pm

Some misinformation grinds my gears. Paying 1k is not the only way to get mac os, there is hackintoshes and a “real” tech channel should know that.

  21. SimpleMoneyDrop on July 28, 2021 at 9:28 pm

1:29 I can assure you no one wants a chrome book.

  22. tom frost on July 28, 2021 at 9:29 pm

Hi, do you now if a IT service that can take my specifications in terms of hardware and software and build a laptop for me, I can’t seem to find a service that does this and I don’t want to spend a lot of money on hardware only to then need to do the same for software. Thanks Tom

  23. The Tech Chap on July 28, 2021 at 9:30 pm

Hey Chaps! What laptop are you most excited for in 2021? (I can’t wait for updated MacBook Pro 16 with M1Z/M2 chip)!

  24. Kent Ellis on July 28, 2021 at 9:30 pm

I have been a MacBook Pro user since 2011. Which is the year of my MacBook Pro. But I have recently learned that Mac is no longer supporting my computer because of his age. I have downloaded some workarounds but it’s not all that convenient. I really only use my computer for document, photo storage and a little bit of editing on Photos. I am not a gamer but I do like YouTube and would like the larger screen then I can afford. So if I’m going to go back to a PC versus a Mac what would be the easiest transition I would ask? I would go back to Mac but I feel for the cost of a Mac versus what I really use it for doesn’t make sense. Thank you.

so what should I buy if I study business management but have a hobby in editing images and videos?

  28. austin tea on July 28, 2021 at 9:34 pm

I have experience using all 3 OS as u have a windows computer, in high-school we used chromebooks some and my family uses macbooks, however I have moved away from apple phones and am not interested in the ecosystem. I will likely use windows as it is better suited for programming and such, than a chromebook. My budget is about 700-800 so if any of yall have good recommendations for light gaming and productivity I would appreciate it.

  32. Brittany on July 28, 2021 at 9:38 pm

Is it a bad idea to have a PC "main" computer (mine is a desktop) and a Mac laptop "secondary" computer?

I’m a content creator too and do light design work in Photoshop and InDesign and my primary work uses premiere pro. I love my PC but curious about the Mac experience.

The laptop I want will be used for basic productivity work and typing probably 95% of the time but I need it to be able to run premiere pro if I need to edit videos on the go.

Thanks for any advice anyone can give!

  34. Ben Frank on July 28, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Open to any answers here, what would you recommend for basic schoolwork/ projects and some digital drawing/painting?

  35. Impromptu on July 28, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Always buy a couple of steps behind the bleeding edge because price drops exponentially and the best of the best isn’t actually going to age much better than the second or third option.
As to make/OS it’s simple. If cost doesn’t matter and you’re generally more interested in productivity go Mac. If you want a lot of flexibility, access to just about any game and are willing to handle some annoying system maintenance go PC. If your life is mostly watching videos, browsing and social media it’s Chromebook. As to Linux I’ve always been a fan but it still isn’t cooked yet – get a PC and try it out in a host like VirtualBox. The experience varies from distro to distro and you can have a no fuss experience if you like but the allure to most is the ability to work with a UNIX file system and command line. For all that the community is passionate and dedicated, not everything can run successfully on it, even in emulation. Final point – be clear about the software you actually need to run. There are extremely good open source versions of just about everything but if there’s something you really specifically need let that guide your choice. I have some speciailist stuff but most of my bottom bar is populated with open source alternatives for everything else – eg Libre Office, GIMP, OpenShot. Check out Ninite for a one-shot download experience and stick two fingers up at MS Office, Adobe and the rest. Unless you need them because your job demands it – in which case, the company should get a machine for you.

  41. Patti Nelson on July 28, 2021 at 9:48 pm

Hello can you tell me the best affordable windows laptop I should get if I want to make YouTube videos ,make music videos and also connect to the internet and teach English as a second language online. I don’t do much gaming so really don’t care about that. I’m mainly concerned how fast of a processor I need to make and edit my vids and store them. I don’t know much about laptops but I can spend up to about $700, preferably less. Thanks for this great vid and thanks in advance 😃 New sub!

  44. Skywayz Zarthic on July 28, 2021 at 9:49 pm

3:15 ok Linux is not for advanced users, Linux is for anyone who wants to try it out. It has this impression of being super advanced, but really that’s only a few distros. If you spend 20 minutes with a usb stick and a YouTube video, you can install Linux and have it working just as well as Windows or MacOS, except probably faster. Or better yet, buy a preinstalled Linux laptop from Slimbook or something. I hate it when supposedly knowledgeable tech youtubers scare people off Linux when in some cases it can be the most intuitive operating system around. This concludes my Ted talk. Thank you.

Cromebooks are horrible for students. I don’t know why people keep recommending them. They are great on paper, but often required applications or programs made locally by specific universities simply won’t run on them. Granted this is a temporary problem and it might not be true for all students, but right now it is simply not a risk worth running. Get a windows or a mac for the love of god.
