You made an era at 1.05.. You said "the winner of each battle gets a random power up at the beginning of next round, with six power ups to choose from". This sentence make no sense

  2. Brian Nop on September 11, 2022 at 3:37 am

Oh man Peacekeepers! I remember restarting the game if I messed up the sequence to unlock Orbot xD

No tiny toon wacky sports challenge? It is a very funny 4 player game

  9. Pixel Vixen in Japan on September 11, 2022 at 3:47 am

I had some friends over one night recently and they find it pretty odd that I am such a Super Famicom/Nintendo fan, but nobody was bored with 4 player Bomberman and Tiny Toons Wacky Sports Challenge (dotabata daiundoukai in Japan) – everybody had such a great time. I just love the simplicity of the gaming and I guess it’s my age but I still think the graphics and sound are amazing 🙂

If only I can find 4 or 5 real life people to play Bomberman with.

    Need some love for micromachines!

  15. ArchGeek on September 11, 2022 at 3:51 am

Unfortunately, Seiken Densetsu 3, now known as Trials of Mana, is only 2 player. The 3 player version you played was a ROM Hack.

Bro Looney Tunes B-ball is better in multi than nba jam/hangtime

Bomberman was such a bomb as a series. So boring.

  19. UltraMaster2O1 Studios on September 11, 2022 at 3:57 am

You didn’t mention my favorite 4 player game. It’s called Super Puyo Puyo 2/Tsu. There’s also a remix version too.

  20. EJAY on September 11, 2022 at 3:58 am

  22. Simco Doublavix on September 11, 2022 at 4:01 am

Cool that you mentioned secret of Mana and seiken densetsu 3. Too bad they didn’t make secret of evermore support two player mode. There’s a patch for emulator but getting it to work is a pain in the ass.

  23. duscha55 on September 11, 2022 at 4:01 am

Panic Bomberman W is allso a fun 5 player "tetris" game.

  24. riccccccardo on September 11, 2022 at 4:01 am

On megadrive me and bro lived on 4 player micro machines and bomber man.

  25. Duff Duffington on September 11, 2022 at 4:02 am

We used to gamble on Super Bomberman 2 during shop class in highschool. That game funded so many hours at the arcades.

Side note: Winning the boots is not O.P., Winning the gloves is.

  26. CallinWire on September 11, 2022 at 4:03 am

2:44 lost it when he dunked from 3/4 of the court away XD

  27. Seltaeb9091 on September 11, 2022 at 4:04 am

I got my multitap from The Good Guys after seeing Super Bomberman in an ad in the paper for a good deal. When there I asked a rep about the price to make sure, and looking it up on his computer he showed it at an even lower price, and I snapped it up. When I got home, I looked at the receipt and it turns out he rung me up for Bomberman ’94 for the TG16 instead. I think the statute of limitations allows me to admit that now. But yeah, that and both Jam titles got a lot of use out of the ‘tap.

  28. Marbleous Racing on September 11, 2022 at 4:05 am

I know of another Japan exclusive Super Puyo Puyo 2 and Super Puyo Puyo 2 Remix which have a 4-player mode.

Your videos really are helpful to me building a snes games collection. Thank you very much!

  30. Fidel Solis on September 11, 2022 at 4:08 am

Nice. I have all that homies. Since the 90s. Snes is always fun.

  31. MazterP28 on September 11, 2022 at 4:12 am

    I bought that first multi-tap it’s amazing

  32. inceptional on September 11, 2022 at 4:14 am

Super Bomberman 2 is just brilliant, and also the best looking of the Bomberman games on SNES imo, with characters and backgrounds that actually look a bit shaded and subtly 3D, which all the later games lacked as they went for a more basic cartoony-with-black-outlines look, which I’m not a huge fan of. I also like that it’s a bit less bloated with random fluff than the other later games, most of which doesn’t actually make the gameplay better imo, although it adds just enough over the first one to make it stand above it. So, for me at least, Super Bomberman 2 is the best of the Bomberman games on SNES.

  33. Zerroth on September 11, 2022 at 4:15 am

Super Bomberman 3 came out in Europe. I do remember seeing them in Game stores in Ireland.

  34. Zenas Starchild on September 11, 2022 at 4:16 am

If only they had a Smash TV sequel for Super Nintendo 😉

  35. Finley on September 11, 2022 at 4:18 am

Fun fact: The SNES was actually capable of listening to eight controllers at a time, though no games were ever made that would be able to take advantage of it. If a Multitap had 8 ports, the SNES would have been able to handle it.

This gets put to use in arbitrary code execution in Super Mario World and a few other interesting cases.

  36. Jesus on September 11, 2022 at 4:18 am

I just downloaded all of these games for my retropie, TYSM!

  37. asobi neko on September 11, 2022 at 4:18 am

haven’t seen it mentioned… there’s also tiny toon adventures: wacky sports challenge, great with a few friends and drinks.

  38. Tosnic on September 11, 2022 at 4:20 am

Great that you mention Slammasters. It is an awesome 2v2 fighting game.
Be sure to grab the PAL version of Slammasters. The US version I tested had slowdowns, which the PAL version did not.

The only other 4-5 player game from my childhood is Lord of the Rings, but you better stay away from that one. Firstly, you need to play for a long time to get 5 playable characters. Secondly, it sucks, except for the music.

  39. Revenant from DOOM on September 11, 2022 at 4:21 am

Solid list. Super Puyo Puyo Tsuu and its upgrade, Super Puyo Puyo Tsuu REMIX both support up to 5 players, it’s pretty fun in my experience and one of my favorite multiplayer games for the SFC.

  40. GaZ loves Games on September 11, 2022 at 4:23 am

Bomberman 2 was my jam growing up. Im in the UK but never knew 3 was a thing at the time. I also had mega bomber man on sega md with the Louie kangas. Cool to know they got a snes feature eventually.

  41. Digiflower5 on September 11, 2022 at 4:23 am

Cool, thanks for your content, I was 4 during the SNES model 2’s release so this channel is my number one SNES source.

  42. Javier Alejandro on September 11, 2022 at 4:23 am

I think Syndicate for the SNES is also a 4 player game. I popped this game in my snes and left it alone and noticed 4 players with there own different weapons. I couldn’t find my 4 player adapter so I couldn’t test it. Can anyone confirm this please?

  47. 8wealthyone8 on September 11, 2022 at 4:30 am

Are there any 6 or 8 player games? Can you also cover nes, genesis and other multiplayer consoles and handhelds pls? Great video!

  48. Willow Bercaw on September 11, 2022 at 4:31 am

    Appreciate it!!

  49. marscaleb on September 11, 2022 at 4:33 am

I played through Secret of Mana with three people. We had a lot of fun, but I can’t recall anything about the story. It’s really hard to enjoy the story and get immersed in the world when you have to share the experience like that, with other people who may not be as in to the story as you are.
