I’m downgrading my XR to any flip phone , fucking costs are imaginable & pathetic !!!

  2. CR R on October 12, 2021 at 7:14 am

I’m especially sick of apps. Every app says "Such-and-such app needs access to your contacts/camera/storage/etc." So sick of hearing what the app urgently needs. WHY are they so needy?

  3. Sasha Ivanov on October 12, 2021 at 7:15 am

Besides that, the flat screens are very harmful to the eyes and the brain. A specially they cause short memory damage. Plus radio waives pollution which comes from the gadgets and the towers is harmful too.

Did this years ago, used one of my FAV flip phones from 2010ish for a few years till 2017 when I switched carriers and had to switch.. It was a peaceful few years with texting/calling being the only distracton. I LOVED it..

  5. Linda Que Leenda on October 12, 2021 at 7:17 am

My dream is to have the Light Phone 😭 As soon as I have a job that doesn’t REQUIRE an iphone, I will immediately switch over!

  6. Vailix on October 12, 2021 at 7:17 am

You could literally delete your accounts and the apps and it won’t bother you. Having a smartphone is very useful for Google and stuff

  7. Ryan Irwin- Diehl on October 12, 2021 at 7:18 am

Only reason I even want to keep my iPhone is because I enjoy watching YouTube too much

  8. Mike Jones on October 12, 2021 at 7:18 am

I know this is old but, try next time down grading to a pager. lol

  9. Elias Calisto on October 12, 2021 at 7:19 am

Looking forward to downfrading my phone as well. Thanks for sharing

  10. Anna Bell on October 12, 2021 at 7:20 am

I like social media. I do not like Google tracking everything I do and everything I buy and everywhere I go and knowing everything I think and listening to everything I say. A flip phone would not distract me into interacting with it all the time.

  11. catfree on October 12, 2021 at 7:20 am

    Upgrading*

  12. Kejiri on October 12, 2021 at 7:20 am

But also, lack of physical buttons is why i dont get those devices.

  13. JESUS CHRIST on October 12, 2021 at 7:21 am

Or you could just disable all your apps!!!

  14. Ruben Whitter on October 12, 2021 at 7:22 am

    You seem depressed

  15. Lyubomir Mirchev on October 12, 2021 at 7:22 am

A associate professor told me that he doesn’t use a smartphone so he can use his brain and not depend on a phone to do his work

  16. Vicki Barbosa on October 12, 2021 at 7:22 am

This is very cool. But we’re with Consumer Cellular and oddly enough the only flip phones they have are bad quality. I’m using a smartphone as if it were a basic phone. It’s not always easy.

  17. Shelby's Play Day on October 12, 2021 at 7:23 am

I am thinking about downgrading to a $20 flip phone. I just think they are so cool.

  18. bringmesomeavocados on October 12, 2021 at 7:27 am

Deleted all the unnecessary social media (all social media is unnecessary) 👍🏻

  19. Brandon Bellin on October 12, 2021 at 7:30 am

Are you still using a flip phone ?

  20. Princess Grace on October 12, 2021 at 7:30 am

  21. sarahmueller.fit on October 12, 2021 at 7:32 am

  26. Mixon Mixon on October 12, 2021 at 7:39 am

  27. Niemand on October 12, 2021 at 7:40 am

Hearing music works fine with a flip phone actually ipod was just more like wow nice design nothing more

  28. BobRooney on October 12, 2021 at 7:41 am

i use my smartphone as a phone, and web browser for emergencies like directions or killing time while waiting. i refuse to use social media apps, period. they all infringe on everyone’s rights and freedoms and are a health danger. my friends and i agreed to never use it. we are all on whatsapp. generally we just call each other.

  29. Nachtfalter on October 12, 2021 at 7:42 am

Or you could have just deleted the apps you don’t want to use and get a website blocking app/browser extension?

  30. Michael Griffith on October 12, 2021 at 7:42 am

U are sooooo on point man!! Where were we before all this? We didnt think of this stuff not needed it. The rich get richer n the consumer gets poorer

  31. Chief Joseph on October 12, 2021 at 7:47 am

I have one email account. No social media. I use You Tube for how to videos and reviews. I’m trying to figure out a way not to use YouTube.

  32. Brenda Leverick on October 12, 2021 at 7:48 am

I only have a smartphone. But I find my phone doesn’t make me feel more alone. In fact, when I feel lonely, it makes me feel less alone. My flip phone didn’t make me feel less lonely.

  33. Emily Lavën on October 12, 2021 at 7:50 am

You’re blaming the phone for your personal weaknesses. Instead of working on yourself you deprive yourself of a useful tool. It just sounds pathetic I’m sorry lol. You don’t need to buy into the hype and keep upgrading. I keep my cheap smartphone for years and years. Flip phones are beautiful but lack the incredibly useful functionality of a smartphone.

  34. amigo aman on October 12, 2021 at 7:51 am

Could you please mention the purchasing link of that flip phone, i also wanted to downgrade my Iphone, i exhausted with it!

  35. ninni ._. burninni on October 12, 2021 at 7:54 am

Well now I feel like shit

  36. Benjamin Whitney on October 12, 2021 at 7:55 am

    Or just delete the apps…

  37. S124434 on October 12, 2021 at 7:56 am

I find it easier, I feel the smart phones keep changing, they have automatic features, AI, loads of apps, possibly complex security. I gone back to my function phone, music, photos, texts and phone, so much easier, less features, less change of the UI, less stress. I feel. Plus before smart phones you could just go out and possibly relax, did not feel that I possibly, maybe had to walk on egg shells, with everyone with a possible Smartphone in their pocket, life was possibly simpler and easier before them. I feel.

  38. chloe on October 12, 2021 at 7:56 am

I have had my iPhone for years because I absolutely refuse to upgrade. It’s facing what I believe is it’s last year or so. I’ve already decided that my next phone will be a flip phone. My only concern is safety and navigation… how do other young women go about this?
I understand there was a time when iPhones didn’t exist but in a lot of ways, I feel safer with one… I have navigation at hand, safety apps like noonlight, can type text messages really fast if need be without hitting one key up to three times… It definitely concerns me. I’m in the process of weighing my risks. I do a lot of traveling and a phone is so convenient when you don’t know where something is, you can just look it up.

  39. NE Smith on October 12, 2021 at 7:58 am

    Bought my flip phone today!

  40. John J Riggs Archery on October 12, 2021 at 7:58 am

I’m going back to a flip phone because I’ve had enough of more than enough not being enough.

  41. Dr. Yummy tidepod on October 12, 2021 at 7:59 am

How bout get a z flip 4 lol

  42. weimar republic on October 12, 2021 at 8:01 am

I’m also downgrading, except my old phone is worse than the flip phone

  43. unteroffizier on October 12, 2021 at 8:04 am

My main phone is a 3G keypad candy car phone. I use it for calls and text messages. Battery life is better on average i need to charge it like once a week. My secondary phone is an entry level smartphone which i use for work. Need whatsapp so that is its main function. Here in Singapore we need to scan SafeEntry whenever we go to any place for due to Covid-19 so the smartphone is used for that. Otherwise most modern applications require a smartphone so i cannot say we can entirely get by without it. I don’t switch it on the entire day only on it when i need to use it. So on average i charge it up like once a week.

  44. ninni ._. burninni on October 12, 2021 at 8:05 am

I have 1 phone and I dont feel the need to have a new phone or anything since I already have one

  45. Ms DM on October 12, 2021 at 8:06 am

    Amen. I agree.

  46. Anna Bell on October 12, 2021 at 8:06 am

iPod should have stopped at the "classic." It holds thousands of songs.

  47. k. lam on October 12, 2021 at 8:08 am

that’s our fault for buying into social media, isn’t it

  48. Jahlen Johnson on October 12, 2021 at 8:08 am

If you have T-Mobile you won’t be able to downgrade to one of these phones. They are only servicing new phones with 4g.

  49. MICHAEL A JACKSON PHOTOGRAPHER on October 12, 2021 at 8:10 am

Switched, $80 and only needs to be charged once a week. Noticeablly happier 🙂 one year so far.

I’ve found a personal solution that’s helped free me from phone addiction.
1- I use the smallest iphones, currently the 8, will upgrade next yr. to same size SE.
2- Phone is set on Do Not Disturb every day 6 pm to 6 am.
3- Downgraded data usage from unlimited to 1GB/mo.
