My job does require me to using various applications and possessing various skills. Gaming betters my attention to detail, shorthand, numeracy, and decision-making. Speed within the mind and hands is a good thing, at least for my job. Gaming has impacted my career positively. Gaming is a very good distraction and it can also be fun. On my days off, I game, relax, and enjoy my day. I like to either stay at home and game or go out for drinks and party with my work-team mates. If I decided not to go out for a piss-up then I would just stay at home to game, order food, watch movies, and relax. At times, after a long shift at work, I would perhaps play for around 30 minutes, just to switch off. All the ‘hate’ generally comes from women more than anyone else as far as I have noticed. I just want to tell them something: ”I would rather spend my free time gaming than gossiping about my counterparts which seems much more depressing if you were to ask me. All that time I spend on playing games, women would spend that time on gossiping, plotting, scheming, and deploying various types of attacks against other women with a thinner waistline than their own. So, [BLANK] off, it’s simple as that. Don’t worry about us (Gamers), worry about yourselves (and your waistline). We couldn’t give a blind [BLANK] about what you did with your time because we are happy with how we spend ours. A man’s needs are very simple and much easier than the needs of women. Women struggle to find happiness, so what they do? They try to make us stop all the things we do which make us happy. Well, unfortunately, it is not going to happen so go and get a therapist”.

If you consider your time as a form as currency, then video games are low return strategy. Sure there might be benefits to games but my money is better invested in a different stock. Thanks for the video though.

The negative side arise only when we are addicted to the games
If we use it for recreation and breaks between study sessions ,the negative effects are nil

Here’s the deal with video games. They improve a lot of mental skills. However, there comes a point where the learning is done and they are just hold you back.

As a father of teenage children, and someone who sits in front of a computer screen 10+ hours per day, there’s a disagreement with my wife about the merits of video games. I’m pretty indifferent while she is convinced that the negatives outweigh the positives.

Given your research I’d be interested in knowing what you found on the negative side that was a real vs imagined.

  46. malik urac on July 30, 2021 at 10:05 pm

Great Video! Apologies for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you tried – Millawdon Pulling Girls Trick (should be on google have a look)? It is a great one of a kind guide for turning a friend into your girlfriend without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy got cool success with it.

Yeah but it’s a waste of time sooooo

  48. Charlie Glew on July 30, 2021 at 10:09 pm

I feel when I play video games it gives me a reason to make up on a social/physical side of life when I’m finished .. abit like going on a diet and having a "cheat meal" knowing your going back to the diet for sure.

  49. Ramza on July 30, 2021 at 10:09 pm

It depends on what video games you are playing, not just any game. Just like anything in life. Reading is good for you but it depends on what you’re reading.
When I used to play racing games, it helped with eye hand coordination. People need to know though that the benefits rarely outweigh the negative effects.
While the positive effects are there, addiction is very common and can affect you in a more negative way on more important aspects of life, like relationships, responsibilities at home and school.

This is the most important question of life.
