The brakes are engineered . But your not allowed to go bigger than a 17inch wheel on a xb / xf ? (2inches bigger than standard) ? How do you get around that

A is definitely not right even if they had the right fitment, B looks good, I’m a fan of snowflake’s but I’d have to see the bigger size, sometimes wheels don’t look good bigger

Late to the party I know. But, I’ve seen a couple of XD-F with Speedy Malibu’s, infact I myself have them on my EA (non chrome). They look amazing on the XD-F’s. Not sure how you would go getting them now, but Speedy might still have the pattern for them.
The first wheels – oh dear god no. please.
Second wheels – not too bad, bit modern for a car of this age in my opinion, but hey, i think anything bigger than 17’s (without a reason like your brakes) look bloody terrible.
19" snowflakes – I’m on the fence, older wheels rarely look good stretched that far.

  39. andrew8502 on October 24, 2021 at 9:57 am

19in snowflakes. Will suit it the best. Also since the car is an original xf ghia.

  40. Dash Farmer on October 24, 2021 at 9:58 am

    Option A looks phat.

  41. sipposbft on October 24, 2021 at 9:58 am

great video guys… any chance of you doing a clip of your "weld in" front end clip for the same series falcons… trying to convince  my cousin to go that way on his XM

  42. Martin Ellul on October 24, 2021 at 9:58 am

Question on the Tubular front, does this setup also mimic the shelby drop where as the camber is kept more uniform on a lowered car and through suspension travel, looks like the top arm is dropped compared to factory?

  43. Andrew Rigg on October 24, 2021 at 9:58 am

Option B then C. Some nice products and what a great facility to work from.

  44. Matt Moore on October 24, 2021 at 9:59 am

    Option c
Great videos you are putting out. And great to see and Aussie owned company doing what you are doing. Keep up the great work.

Have you guys overlooked the engine cross member ?
XF’s were only engineered to take a 6 cyl, so the crossmember was made from thin high tensile steel, ass opposed to thicker ones used in previous models. The Barra is really gonna stress that frame.
The issue is cracking where the crossmember meets the base of the shock tower/engine mount.
All XF’s are prone to it, same as F100’s. Info supplied to me by 2 RTA inspectors during a thorough inspection of my ’85 XF.
If you own an XF & the CM is cracked, drill out the end of the crack to stop it spreading then MIG weld the crack & weld another plate across the crack to bridge it.
Either that or you’re air chiseling the whole CM out to fit another.
Clutch cable fitting in the firewall also need strengthening if you’re going manual. Same with the pedal box clutch mounting pin.
The factory sheet metal is weak as piss.
"The joys of owning an XF for 10 years, I got to repair & replace most of it !!!"

option C mate gold ESP snowflakes 19 inch wheels

  48. Furai-ing Falc-kuru on October 24, 2021 at 10:03 am

Do you think this brake kit would work with the Falcon Eseries? Namely EA-D but the EF/EL guys need an upgrade option too. Fuck all out there aside from the EL GT stuff which are basically unobtainable. While to fit 18in wheels is a bit large, i’d need something to fit under a 15in are there options for them? Wilwood was always gonna be my go-to for it, but I’ve just never seen anyone really put something basically bolt on for them (Racebrakes Syd did about 15 years ago afaik) Option C on the wheels too! 🙂 Maybe Option A for burnouts, save your guard paint a bit with that shoddy offset hehe

  49. Shad Quirk on October 24, 2021 at 10:04 am

Gotta be big snkowflakes mate, they’ll look sick, option C.
